Hey guys! Looking to upgrade my current fogs and would like to purchase the best amber fogs out there, perhaps with a good hassles free warranty if possible. I did some research and I believe these two brands are what I consider “best”. I will like to hear some feedback and experience (good or bad) to make a decision soon!

Honestly I don't think much has changed. Diode dynamics for the price and quality, you really can't beat it. Actually from what I can tell diode dynamics sae fog light is the top performer.

I don't have experience with DD. But I have BD SAE amber and a lot of people flash me if I have them on. Too much glare. I'd try the DD.

I wonder if the bracket to mount the DD SS3 are aluminum or plastic?

That was pretty helpful and seemed unbiased.
I don’t really get the rush to go to led when so many of the led options seem worse than oem, like the pattern and color temp.
Especially with fog lights where you want that soft wide beam and yellower color. White to cool white (5k+) are are worse in those conditions.

I’ll definitely look at DD for other lighting options, and amber for the fogs.
I’ve been wanting to get ditch and a light bar in the grille.

Could be wrong, I installed my dd ss3 sports couple months ago. But I believe they are plastic. Seemed pretty durable.

I feel the market is flooded with too many led options that sacrifice performance for the look of an led. From what I can tell diode dynamics puts alot of research into thier products. Even in the video I posted above, they compared thier light to competitors in all different price ranges.

Yeah totally agree! I was hoping they included caliraised in there but I think in the grand scheme of things the real players are BD, rigid and did.

I was looking at their light bars and surprised they’re all single row and no amber/white combo.....unless that just doesn’t work. I’ve never had one before so I thought that could be good. I see BD has some like that.

The drl/switch back turn signals look kind of cool, but no explanation on taking apart the headlight.

I say start with amber. If you decide you want a little whiter light down the road you just pony up a few bucks for some clear lenses and you have that buttery 4000k white light

    The amber is awesome though.

I had the BD and got flashed like crazy. DD is the much better, cheaper choice.

    They were "sae"

The tipping point was when I noticed they lit up reflectors on power lines.
