    this and that...
would be sick if we could squeeze a baja designs rtl in that gap under the tailgate.

Some people attach the light bar using high quality velcro or magnets so they can easily pop the bar out for access to the tool hole.

Yes, this.. I actually used the clips supplied (yes, a few 1/8” holes drilled. Alas, some mods require a drill here and there) plus Velcro, so can remove to access spare ..

I also used the provided clips. Very secure but easy enough to pop off the light if I ever need to access the spare.

I bought the 3M Alfa heavy duty double lock and I’m going to use the drilled brackets they provide. Also bought the Curt wiring harness for a clean look.

    Anybody install this one:

    https://www.amazon.com/MICTUNING-Ta...1599144606&sprefix=mic+tuning+tailgate&sr=8-4

Someone with a 3rd Gen posted a video and it looks like it would fit and be two separate pieces so I could still access the spare tire hole.

I also dont have a tow hitch so has anyone else hard wired their tailgate light bar directly to the tail lights?

Wish I saw this before I ordered my OPT7 bar. It's also slightly cheaper.

I just installed the opt7 using 3m dual lock and the curt 5 pin adapter. I was super easy and I can remove the bar if I need access to the spare quite easily. It was not difficult to do at all and works really well.

Has anyone hardwired their tailgate light bar directly to the taillights? The light bar uses a flat 4-wire trailer type connector with a reverse light wire. Our trucks wiring at the tail lights has separate wires for the turns and brake, but on the harness, it is combined. I cant figure out how to wire this. @caribe makaira would you happen to know how I would wire this? Thanks.

2014 ... My 7 pin connector on the bumper is a one piece connector. Can’t take it apart to install the Curt T harness. It’s directly wired up to a connector just above the bumper. Anyone else have this from the factory problem?

4 wires, but one is a reverse tap...
Does the light bar instructions mention a STOP feature besides the TURN and Tail?

Here are the instructions that shows what wires to use on the lightbar.

    https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81yCVJ-p8zL.pdf

its at the very bottom for hardwire.

there is supposed to be a separate wire not attached to the trailer harness that i would connect to the reverse light. Not sure why that one isn't showing on the instructions.

I took a screen shot of the wiring. It doesnt show the reverse but that is straight forward, its the brake/turn signals which I cant figure out. 5F313F1A-C396-4C7D-8731-EF3D430855D2.jpg
