Rack and pinion options rock out ?

Hey TW looking for a rack and pinion I was looking in rock auto anyone have any issues with this racks ? Just don’t want to get the wrong one online then trying to returned I’ll would be with no truck for a while
Or just try my local shop for quick exchange just in case ?

I also have a friend at napa that can get me a nice discount on a new one .

Mines starting to leak in the boots so I’m gonna have to change it out soon. Thanks for the recommendation

 

Let me know if you ever come to LA - there’s a shop that rebuilds for $150-175 with viton upgraded seals.

3 years ago I installed a Maval brand rack in my stepson's tacoma, never a issue to this day.

 

Some say OEM racks are superior

 

I bought mine at Oreilys

 

Aim still debating I found a shop that as one for $200 reman as lots of good reviews online .

 

Yeah down here in SoCal with so many people needing steering racks rebuilt there are shops that specialize in rebuilding and have a couple or one day turn around.

 

When my rack finally goes out, I'm going to replace mine with Toyota OEM. I did quite a bit of searching and this is the cheapest Toyota Rack I could find.
