    i know some of you on here have decorated the bed of your tacoma with christmas lights using the outlet in the bed. how did you attach your lights to the bed of the truck?

    I just used zip ties through the bed rail, theres holes on the underside of the rail I just put a zip tie on a few of those.

    good idea. is there any way to attach them to the top sides of the bed though? like where the bedliner folds over the top of the bed?

    I guess you can use some kind of double sided tape or something along those lines.

    Wasnt that picture, it was another member on here who did the same thing.

    You can have them on while driving, its not legal in maryland but I never got pulled over for it.

    Yeah, I would probably do white anyways to match my truck. I was speaking more of the ability to do so, I thought I read in the manual you had to be in park to operate the outlet?

    I did this a couple years ago with multi-colored lights and the plug in the bed. I just used duct tape and it looked sorta tacky and didn't last very long. I think ilg has got it right, that looks good! And yes the power outlet will work while driving, it just switches to 100w mode instead of the full 400w.
