I hate reading when I haven't been here for a week. There's always so much I missed. Fuck I hate my new position. I want to fall timber again so I have six hours of work and can TW more. I miss this place.

 

Got too caught up with eating it last night. 14 hours later.

 

That looks so good I can almost taste it.

Finally got our final inspection on the house. Set up beds coutch and half the dining set. Last week was four celing fans and three reostats. I'm exhausted

 

Yep. It's bad. It already took out Mammoth Pool. Huntington is under evac orders and Shaver is on standby. It could go all the way to Bass and Courtwright. So bummed.

Yep. Big time. In that twitter feed I linked there's a guy that said it burnt all the way around both sides of Mammoth Pool in 45 minutes. Mammoth Pool is 3 1/2 miles long. This thing is scary.

I climb and wheel in that area a lot. When my wife and I climbed at Courtwright last year she commented on how much fuel was in those forests. It hasn't burnt in a very long time.

 

When I first heard about it, I looked like less than a few hundred acres. Pretty crazy.

 

FIRMS says the fire is 60^2 miles. Jeez. I hope they're able to hit it with the heavy tankers.

No tankers on it. They are grounded for the night and where previously at the El Dorado and Valley fires. Both of those had no release orders for VLATs.
