OEM TRD exhaust tip

I've looked everywhere on the internet to buy just the TRD exhaust tip without having to get the entire catback exhaust system package. What would be my best bet to get the exhaust tip without having to buy the exhaust system? (I want it brand new)

 

You should be able to get it from the dealer since it is an option part.

 

Did it until recently become an optional part at dealerships because of the new T/X pro Tacoma packages? I almost forgot about that.

 

When I first got the truck, I bought one of the "non-TRD" stainless tips like that from TRD parts 4U...$48. Of course it doesn't have the TRD logo on it, but it's still a nice piece.
I upgraded to the TRD exhaust and the tip is welded on; I don't know if it would be offered by itself. As I said...I don't know.

 

Does tips make it sounds any different or is it just for looks? I've always wondered.

The tip can't be purchased unless you buy the cat-back system.

 

Oh, well that stinks. I was planning to do a flowmaster 40 duel rear exit exhaust system with two Trd exhaust tips for the looks. I'll keep looking, but I think Packer already sold his tip
