Took Sam home on Friday and got his first set of shots on Saturday morning, he weighed in at 13.5 lbs.. Man, this guy is so full of energy! I am having a bit of trouble with the chewing though. I bought him a Kong, raw hide bones, and a tennis ball. The crate training is going well, I think. He has a designated spot to go in the backyard and only goes when I lead him to the spot. He does cry quite a bit when placed into the crate, but I leave him there when he does. It subsides after about 15-20 minutes. So far so good, and thanks for the great advice TW dog owners!

This is him with my cousin.

    Sam is looking good!

I think the key is exercise. And also make sure he knows which toys are his :)

Meet "Bo Dog". This is my grams mix. Not sure exactly what.
My mom found her on a cold snowy day sometime a few Christmas's ago. She was soaking wet on some old back country road and was just old enough to be pregnant with 3 puppies. My mom said it was late at nite and they almost hit her. Said she was very malnutritous and was sitting in the road shivering with her paw up (like the pic) pretty much begging for someone to either pic her up or hit her.
    The puppies were never born.
My mom already had 2 chihwawas. "Mini" and "rita dog". they took her home and to the vet and has been my grams bestest buddy ever since. My gram has always had chihwawas since I was very young and after they pass she swears she will never get another dog, but she does. "Bo Dog" and my moms "Rita dog" have the absolute most personalities that I have ever seen in dogs. They are almost human !!!
    And here is......."Bo Dog" :)

I love all of these pictures. I was thinking about fostering, since I have a good size backyard. But, I love dogs and have 5 already that I am afraid I will just keep them. lol
