Have a blanket to set your parts on. It’s easier than it sounds or looks but you got to take your time.

Point taken. I have them and think they look great, so no argument from me.

I know this is an old thread, but just wanted to chime in with a tip for anyone trying to do this.

I tried pulling my bumper down but couldn’t get it popped loose on the sides by the fenders. So here’s what I ended up doing:

    Took off the grill.

Took out the big black plastic side things on each side of the radiator. Air channeling things? Idk what you call them.

Now on the headlight trim piece youu can get the screws that are closest to the radiator very easily.

The next two are still beneath the bumper.
You should be able to pull on the bumper enough to see them, but not enough to get a screwdriver on them. I then used a small Phillips bit in a 1/4” ratcheting wrench, coming from underneath to get the screw out. It is hard, and you will cuss it.

    Reassemble everything in reverse order.

It may help to use some electrical tape around the Phillips bit to keep it from sliding out of the wrench.

Wouldn't it be simpler had the thing just used heavy duty double sided tape ?o_O

Double sided tape would be the easy way to do a lot of things. Replacing the current trim plate, instead of just covering it is the correct way long term. Over time double sided tape can fail, especially when exposed to the elements.

I’m sure if you post your need in the buy/sell section someone could help you out. Plenty have added the Meso plate and have the extra stock ones laying around.

    thanks!

The reason I am asking is I accidentally sprayed some adhesive remover on the stock plastic piece and now its all dried up and looks white and pale. I just bought some "back to black" plastic wipes hopefully it will restore the shine.
