No RTT/rack, but I do run a full set of skids, sliders, bumpers, and winch. One of my buddies who runs 4.56/34s/2nd gen runs the the same as me for the most part (similar weight) and wishes he did 4.88s.

I think @EatSleepTacos runs 4.88s on 35s and is rather light with his new bumpers he made. He knows his shit. What you think Randy? See above.

4.88+6MT+35s is definitely a bit overgeared. It's more common for manuals to run 4.56 whereas autos run 4.88. The final gearing in the transmission is different, hence the need for a different ratio. So it would come down to what transmission you have.

    I intentionally overgeared because its
    • not my daily driver
    • I don't mind driving slow
    • better for crawling in the rocks
    • leaves the door open for 37s

In 6th gear, I'm at 3k rpm at 72 mph.

I always forget you are MT. Thanks.

Gruber - he did confirm what I was saying about it being more common for auto to run 4.88s. I was assuming you were auto when I made my original comment.

I bought those exact headlights and grille. Glad to see they do look good together.

Did you paint match the grille? The ABS grey grille I bought looks MGM in person to me.

    Yes
I did not paint it! It matches the MGM color perfectly, although it’s a matte and not a gloss. I’ve been meaning to throw a clear coat on it but never got around to it

Nice! Good thing I didn’t spend the extra $20 for the black edition that was “easier to paint”. I’ll just spend that on a can of clear coat

My daily too. I was in your shoes and went through the same consideration. A lot of threads out there. Never found anyone that went 4.88 and wished they went 4 56, but I did find the opposite. I consulted ECGS who also recommended 4.88s. Being an auto I'm happy at 4 88s. Good luck.

Unless I missed it, what’s your rpms at around 70? I never really go above 70, I try to keep it at 60-65

I finally installed stuff on my truck. Still at stock height, but I feel like my truck is a baby version of Gilmore’s
