    -UPDATE-
    Got the truck out...

My truck is stranded out at Sheeps Bridge... some thing electrical/a short,,, No she didn't go swimming. My lady and I were able to hitch a ride home. Could use a ride out there to reassess and a possible tow. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hey all, i am curious if someone here has some experience wiring up a amber/white 3 wire led bar ( rigid 28" E-series) ... i am thinking of having two spst switches so that i can turn the amber or white on/off independently and i have come up with a diagram.. Can someone double check my work here? And if so please correct me or maybe there is a better way. I would super appreciate any help as this is giving me a small headache lol

So I'm in talks with Front Runner regarding their 10.8G flat water tank and how to secure it in the bed.

I modeled up both the tank and a mount I'm hoping to make and will work for this. At least .190" aluminum. 3 mounts off the bed rail along the back of the cab.. and 2 mounts to the bed bolts. Acts as a mount for the tank, and a load panel for other accessories. Trying to wrap my head around securing the tank tho. Straps. Bolts. They recommend and have used straps in the past. Just not sure how to run them..

Similar to the top mounts maybe just have a couple brackets like those for the sides? Just fold over some metal like an L shape to stop it from going side to side? With those 3 top mounts, and doing similar on the sides, if it is a close fit I don't see that tank going anywhere?

Ahh I see what you mean. Once it's secured to the panel tho, it won't need sideways capture... Maybe. It'll be strapped vertically to the panel. The tank has recessed channels to hold straps.

That looks really nice! The Ironman 4x4 version of this tank has strap mounts or it has a hole I. The center so you could do something like a sandwich plat in the center.

Cradle on the bottom of the tank that is fixed to the panel, top “hooks” (that bolt to the bed rail) are removable with a bolt on each. If that makes sense.

Kind of like how they mount radiators in race trucks and stuff.

have to use your imagination a bit but something like this?

Interesting. I do like the idea of keeping it low. but for only 6 gallons I think I'll hold off. I appreciate the input tho!

Thanks man! had some time off around the holiday so just been brainstorming and modeling shiz. lol

That one's not bad either! I do like the Front Runner a bit more, due to its sizing.. but good to know about options.

I got you. makes sense. I do like that idea.

I'd LIKE to stick to straps so it has some give for whatever expansion it has.. but we'll see. I think I'm just going to order the tank and go from there. I think it'll work out to where I can run straps through the Molle cutouts and over the tank.

oh, btw @Rextinkleton93 I FINALLY found what was causing all that ruckus in the front coilover. The coil was positioned where the end of the spring (flat portion) was resting right on the gap of the adjustment collar. So whenever it would articulate in certain spots, it would "rub/bind" on the edge of the collar. As soon as I took all the tension off, I could hear it making that same sound, so I knew that's what it had to be. So I just tapped and spun the coil enough to clear that gap, and now its back to being silent.
