This might be a stupid question and if so then sorry, im new to all this. So i've been looking everywhere and I cant figure out if the Falken Wildpeak 265/75/16s will fit on my stock 2018 sr5 wheels. I know the diameter is the same, but every tire size lookup I try doesn't list that size, closest they list is 265/70/16. but the other ones should fit right? https://parts.olathetoyota.com/blog/toyota-tacoma-tire-sizes-guide this guide says the 265/75/16s will fit on a 16 inch rim. I'm so confused by all this.

I’m running that exact setup. No issues

No idea but my guess is it’s not a stock size for the Tacoma. Stock sizes for the 16” rims are 245/75/16 and 265/70/16. I‘m sure somebody who knows will be along shortly.

Have them on mine. Some places like Costco won’t install non OEM recommended tires according to some members here. I have 265/75/16 on stock sr5 rims no funny anything just much better looking. You’ll be fine.

I don't know what you mean by "tire size lookup", but tire manufacturers generally list a range of rim widths that are compatible with the tire. For example, 4wheelparts says a "Falken LT265/75R16 Tire, Wildpeak A/T3W" will fit on 7-8" rims.

    https://www.4wheelparts.com/p/falken-lt265-75r16-tire-wildpeak-a-t3w-28030639/_/R-BBQN-28030639

There is some conflicting info, but I think all 3rd gen taco rims are either 7" or 7.5" wide, so you should be good. Also, I'm pretty sure tons of people on here have mounted that size on stock rims.

That said, just because the tire fits on a rim doesn't mean it will fit on your truck. Go too tall or too wide and it will rub on your truck, but again I think that size will easily fit.

Coming soon: Compact powered sub install Future mods planned: bigger tires (265/75/16) BILLSTIEN 5100 lift
I had issues with getting non standard size tires for my old Liberty that has a 2"lift. BJ's wholesale club would only sell the stock 225/70/16 tires for it. I wanted to go up to 245/75/16 on it years ago after the lift. They claimed for liability reasons they had to sell only manufacturer sizes.
I resolved the issue by going to a local mom and pop country tire dealership. The owner just looked at it and said sure we can even go a little bigger.
I can see this being the same if I lift my truck too. You just have to shop around for a place.

You'll be fine with 265/75-16s on SR5 wheels. Here's mine.

    Stock suspension, no rubbing.

Been running a set of 265/70 16 A/T tires on my sr5. They seem to handle the asphalt and dirt roads better.

I've been wondering this too, my SR5 has the 245/75-16 and I'm looking at the 265's when the time comes to put on new tires. I'll likely go with Michelin LTX AT/2 or the Defenders.

How do the 265s differ from stock?

I think 265/70-16 is a stock size on some. Mine just has the 245.75-16's.

Their about an inch wider, nearly same height, and a few lbs heavier. For an A/T tire they corner harder on the asphalt then my oem firestone 245/75 16's did under the same conditions.
