That's good. I meant in hand how much heavier because you said he was using more beef to make it.

I did the Fog Lights anytime Mod using the no splice method. I trimmed a blade connetor such that it fit tight in the back side of the ignition (green) wire at the back of the connector.

I also modified a garage door remote such that the two leads were soldered to the contacts of the switch. Touching the two wires together activates the remote. Most posts on this forum attached these two leads to a switch in one of the empty switch slots. I liked another method that I saw a referenced here and also on some motorcycle forums that tied into the high beams.

To make it work, I picked up a 12V relay. The two wires from the remote go to the switch of the relay. The other two leads are wired to the white wire of my driver's side headlight and the other one is to the inboard wire (high beam). I soldered the wires at the back of the headlight connector then replaced the plastic back plate of the connector. The remote and relay are in a ziplock bag and stuffed between the battery and wheel well.

To activate the remote, I simply flick the high beams (pull lever towards me and release). This can be done with or without keys in ignition. Lights do not have to be on. Wellah, the garage door opens.

Installed my OME 3" lift. The passenger side fender was a real PITA. It was kinda funny how little the front end dropped when I put the tires back on. Today is the diff drop and AAL, then off for an alignment. The WT mats are in the mail, and I will be done with the mods on this one.
