Changed my oil/filter today and I'm 50 miles shy of 5000 mile interval and the Maintenance Required light never came on. It was reset after last changed at just over 125K.

    Thoughts?

That’s odd. I had to replace a battery between this oil change and last, and even with the battery disconnected my truck “remembered” when that interval was coming due. Like clockwork at 4500 miles it started blinking on startup even though the trip odometers reset.

No blinking....nothing. Easy to remember the even 5000 mile intervals.

I am frequently switching between Odometer and trip A which I use for OCI and trip B which I use/reset at each fill up.

    Hmmmmmm....

We had a guy hitching like hell he wanted that light to remind him.
Never came on .wanted it fixed.
He was measuring miles on trip a and then resetting the maint instead of just the odometer.

In between birthday events I cleaned up the Taco, changed the oil in the mower, sharpened the blade and vacuumed out the air filter.....to get it ready for fall.
