Well then, that is a might bit of a problem. Was just out in TSF camping this past week. It felt fairly damp out and fire danger was "only" high. That is a bummer.

Could do the dunes, or somewhere else. Open to suggestions.

I mean, it's over 50 pages long now... but I wasn't expecting it either. Lol.

    Pretty cool, though .

I’ve got birthdays and goose hunting the next two weekends. So my opinion doesn’t count.
But it sounds like it’s only state forest. It’s possible Ladee Flats May be open still since it is National forest land.

That didn't trigger my social anxiety at all. Perfectly fine, nothing to see here

    Ladee is open.

I am still a bit hesitant from people suggesting sliders would be a good idea for the area. @TacoTim85 What's your thoughts on sliders? I remember you saying you were out there but I am a bit fuzzy on the details.

I forgot how far the dunes were. (200 miles from Portland) That's a long drive, and will limit attendance for sure.

    I forgot about Sand Lake.

Closer, only 100 miles from Portland. It is also open.

    :rofl::rofl::rofl:

..... about Ladee. It's been a while since I was out there. Probably much less muddy now and less big water holes. All huge water holes were able to be bypassed anyway. At least where I was at.

As for sliders I was ok without them. Honestly, I feel like you need them more at Brown's than Ladee. There are way more tight spots at Brown's between trees/stumps/rocks.

What I will say about Ladee is a stock height Taco will scrape bottom often on the trails... 100% gonna happen. That being said, I didn't damage anything. Scrapes on my skids and bottom of the frame, etc. Also bottomed out my spare and/or receiver hitch on some whoops sections.

One member here who I was with (who will remain un-named) did slightly damage the bottom rear corner of his bedside. He got a little sideways up an obstacle. It was wet and muddy that day. I managed to get up that obstacle without any damage, but I did bottom out the frame for a moment before it climbed up.

Disclaimer: I haven't been on all the trails at Ladee. I could take a look at which ones I was on if y'all are curious.

I went up a month or two after getting my truck. Did trail 800 and 802. 803 and the okay area are a little crazier from what I hear. I was bone stock apart from having BFG KO2’s. I scrapped bottom a few times, but barely. That was also with 4 passengers and snow/mud.

granted: I took 3 times as long as others to get through the trail. But it was my first OHV experience and in a new truck.

800 is the one at the staging area that has the 2 logs at one entrance and 802 starts or ends(depending on where you enter) as a gravel road with a view there are two boulders that make a narrow entry/exit point.

Ok so the GREEN are the 4x4 trails and the PURPLE (and BLACK) are the forest roads.

And here is the route tracing of the trails I did. We ran the 800 that connects to the staging area twice. Once in each direction.

Looks like we did a loop that is part of the other trails. We also drove to the quarry with the big hills...not shown on this map. It's to the far east.

...actually looks like that tight loop isn't even on the official map? I dunno. We definitely stayed on main trails.

That southern loop looks like a portion of the 802. There are a number of trails that went off the main road of the 802 that could loop back to it.

Very likely. The puddles were mostly frozen when I went so I had to take the bypasses. Have been through parts earlier this spring and the mud was sticky and deep. It still is stuck under my truck.
