What's the true story on this ugly air damn under the nose of my new Sport?
Toyota would you like you to believe the added aerodynamics saves gas but their own MPG estimates show the Sport and Off Road as the same. It sounds like a little slight of hand to me.

I've got a ratchet in hand and itchy fingers to use it!

What he said. I took mine off soon after purchase. I slap it on for long road trips across the country only. Tbh I don’t notice a difference in MPG

    I like it. I wouldn’t have bought the truck if I didn’t.

How effective is it? I haven’t seen any real world side by side testing. Though I strongly suspect it wouldn’t be any significant change in handling or MPG. Like spoilers it’s probably mostly cosmetic.

    Lol

I DID have them remove the silver bed decals before I left the lot. They just didn’t look right on the Voodoo Blue.

You’ll be happier with it off anyway. Looks better. My opinion anyway. Now get off Tacomaworld, walk outside right now with ratchet in hand and get to work

    I agree.
That stock knob is SOME KINDA UGLY. I had the dealer include the Pro knob in my truck package BUT THEN pulled it out for a Core Shifter.

I was thinking I can use the Dildo looking one cut the bottom part off to use on a aftermarket knob & the boot can click on to the bottom of it like the oem fits

I don't do any heavy off-road, and the truck is still under toyota care so i'll leave this air dam in place to let them put up with it when they do an oil change. You can bet your ass it'll be gone when the 2 year program ends. I came close to leaving it off after i did rust proofing on the chassis.
