My wife had a bunch of 8 tracks. I didn't, but still have 2-3 boxes full of tapes.

*raises hand*

My dad worked for Ma Bell for close to 30 years, retired in 1998.

Loved my Crackberry..was so mad I couldn't get them on the business plan my work is on anymore. The ball was all good but the little square touchpad after was better.

 

So I just leave my Godsmack CD in the player in the car. It really only plays when I accidentally selected the wrong input. It's amazing how quickly the format of physical digital media for music disappeared.

 

The crazy thing about 8-tracks was how in the middle of song the they would switch to the next track and the song would drop out for a second. It's like nobody put any forethought into the track layout.
What's the Bill Cosby one in the top left? I've listen to everything he has and of course I loved him before the whole thing about the thing with the thing ...

 

Good morning all

This tape has the story about him and the track star from high school. They went into the next neighborhood’s turf to see a girl, were seen, and there was an unofficial race. I think his best one is “the bullet in the furnace” if you’ve ever heard it.

 

I never had the track pad one. I think my dad did. The trackball one was awesome even if you did have to pop the trackball out and clean it once in awhile, like an old mouse computer mouse.

Growing up my uncle had EVERY cosby record...I remember getting in an argument with my cousin about the "I played football for temple university" bit...Where he talks about getting the hand off and seeing a hole for the first time...My cousin thought it was a literal hole...I was like "no that means they were finally blocking for once"...I still remember having to use the 1988 John Madden football game to show him what a hole is like 2 years later...I like to win debates That's off Why is there air? Which also has the bullet on the SHOP track...

I do use a USB drive for some of my music in the truck, only my rare stuff so I don't risk ruining the discs. I still buy CDs.

If you liked that you'd really dig the pad. No cleaning it for one thing.

 

I have the first ever Godsmack Birthday card signed as a band...Well my brother has it...March 2, 2001 they recorded their Live show at the worcester centrum for the Awake tour dvd. I was working for WAAF real rock tv at the time and it was my older brothers birthday so on a lark I bought a birthday card and thought if I get the chance I'll see if they'll sign it...
When the show was all done we were back stage and the band was all there just taking pictures with a few of us...Not the meet and greet...the hanging out just shooting the shit. I said to Sully "I know this might seem weird but would you write happy birthday to my brother on this card..." and he was so cool, he goes "Give me that shit..." and walks away....and comes back like 5 minutes later...The whole band signed it with personal little messages to my brother AND they signed the hard tour poster...I got it framed and gave it to my brother for his birthday. Sully told me "We've never done a birthday card before...that's fucking cool"

 

Oh and I still have this...I use to have it framed but now that I'm all grown up I put it away...If I had a basement bar it would be back on the wall...This was from the show at the hampton beach hotel casino ballroom...we shot the Reveille music video for permanent at that show...

Spent some time on the truck today. Got the rest of the sap spots off, washed and waxed the truck. Put the Nfab light bar on and the paint color is actually a good match, especially considering it’s just Rustoleum rattle can. I didn’t mount the lights yet, that’s for another day so I can finish my other chores today. Also drained the water separator (read as, got a diesel bath) and installed LED headlight bulb replacements.

Very cool, definitely gonna watch that vid. I followed them all over the place before even WAAF picked up on them..partied with them a few times back then.

 

Wish I was older. Grew up in sullys hometown. My cousin used the dirt bike track at I think the drummers house all the time. I liked them but wasn’t a fan enough to know the drummers name off the cuff.

@mach1man001 thats annoying. I do need skids but that’s not budgeted for at the moment. Sadly. Decent deal though full steel skids for like 650 unpainted. Those are wicked easy to bed line.

I don't understand why Ford reserves LEDs for the high trim levels. My XLT had a lot of options--heated seats, backup sensors, remote start, etc., coupled with the worst halogen headlights I have ever had.

 

I agree. And even at the Lariat trim level, I think it’s still a couple thousand dollar option! The stock halogens actually aren’t too bad since there are 4 of them on at all times. It’s a neat setup, the bottom halogens are a wide pattern and the top ones are narrow and more focused. Morimoto had a $1,600 LED replacement option for the Superduty and they just released a $900 one that looks just like the OEM. Would be cool, but i’m not dropping almost a grand on lights, i’ll just supplement with aftermarket stuff. The LEDs make the low beams much better and i’ll wire the hyperspots to act with the high beams, problem solved. I probably have the same $900 invested in total but no aftermarket housings and overall much better lighting.
