    Trade it in ASAP for a MT problem solved never have to worry about a AT trans again

    Toyota does remanufacturing through their own company AW Transmission Engineering USA... I would have no qualms installing anything that comes out of there.

    Yeah but the tow package on these trucks comes with a transmission cooler and there is a lot of threads on this forum that write about how the trucks with tow package come with low transmission fluid from the factory

    Hey i had a crankshaft key fail in my 86 toyota 4 banger 4x4 pickup around that mileage that took out the crank. Had to have a regional rep from nj to inspect it. They said it was a metallurgical defect, and only replaced the crankshaft using the same main bearings. That truck never ran the same afterwards making a lot of lower end noise, but it never blew up either.

    The powertrain warranty is 5yr/60. I'm at about year 3.8 and 37K miles. Should the remainder of that warranty be enough time to figure out if things are going to be okay?

    If it comes standard with TRDOR, then I have it. Never really cared about anything related to towing because I don't tow.
