I was planning on picking up my 07 pre-Runner Double cab 5-speed auto trd off road in desert sand(black) in January. I ran into a little bit of a set back...a ring...im going to get engaged first with no regrets I just need to save up a few grand again for down payment. Maybe I'll hear something more about the 2008 Tacoma by then. I would really like a sun roof and leather. I guess I was just sharing because you fellow Tacoma lovers are the only ones who would understand what I'm feeling. :)

    Welcome to TW!
    Congrates on the engagement!
I too would like a sunroof... I have yet looked into how much $$ it would take to get an after market sunroof.

Well you know boys, a nuclear reactor is a lot like women. You just have to read the manual and press the right button. Homer Simpson

    Buy the truck. :boink:

Oh, you don't need to put down a down payment. Buy the ring and the truck... make the first few payments on the truck, save up the rest of the money for the ring. Purchase said ring and then start putting the rest of the money into extra payments on the truck.

You now have your truck and ring for your wife.:D

I've been wanting this truck for 2.5 years now but I've been waiting for my wife for 25 years. Here is how I know that she is a keeper(truck related)...she first of all told me she would rather I got the truck now...she has taken several trips to the local Toyota dealership just to lay in the bed of truck with me and think of what it is going to be like to go camping, or just many times because I wanted to see one in the middle of the night with no salesman on my back. This is the clencher she said " You should put a lift on it when you get it"...she doesn't know anything baout trucks but that would be something I would enjoy. Anyway I appreciate all of your comments.

SEPT. 21ST IS FOR THE WEDDING. Im hoping to get my Tacoma next month as a 26th birthday present to myself. I worked a bunch of extra hours and managed to pay off the ring quickly so now I need to sell my 2002 Dodge Neon SXT(clearly not the car of my dreams) and move on to my adulthood vehicle. I lost soooo much money on the Neon. I bought it for $15,600 brand new and took a raping on my trade so I was on the upsidedown side of things. Now I only owe $3200.00 and hoping to sell it for the price I owe. No more negative equity for me.:der: That is part of why I chose the Tacoma. A value holding beast. anyway...I'll keep everyone updated for the next big event...the "Delayed Purchase"...
