    The larger item will however, easily tower over debris, large rocks, trees, etc.

    The smaller bunch (rest of LT) will meet more resistance thus reaching the bottom of the hill much later than Dallas.

    Maybe read the entire convo instead of 1 post :burp:

    @BartMaster1234 Tyler thanks that website looks like a great resource - the build you sent me didn't seem to out of my budget but I wouldn't mind any suggestions on the list I put together - I don't know enough about competing products in each category.

    Anyone that builds PC's is welcome to point out anything I might have missed or am not considering.

    And it looks like "Virtual Desktops" on Windows will allow four finger swipes toggling across full screen apps like how iOS does it which pretty much lets me walk away from Apple. Thanks again Tyler

    Physically pains me that Microsoft still wants so much for a copy of their operating system (I swear 10 Home edition was $99 a coupe months ago) I've yet to pay for a Windows 10 license. Generally get by calling MS support and telling the Indian service rep that I'm considering going to Linux or something. If I'm running a genuine copy of 7 they'll usually give in and hand out a free key. Plus I acquire keys at work sometimes so I've been lucky.

    What usage requires a 1700?

    I'd opt for a Ryzen, especially for gaming.

    This coming from a long time Intel user (E8400 -> 4670K -> 6770K)

    Getting into a computer build for the first time probably is like getting into building anything for the first time - only had 3 prebuilt computers in the past 10 years so I don't have a lot of "spare parts" in a "bin" computerwise. Eventually there might be an (albeit) smaller parts bin for my computer habit lol.

    Looks good, you plugged it into PcPartsPicker and it told you compatibility is ok right?

    My one recommendation is invest in a better power supply. That's a good one, but if you want it to be tidy get a semi modular or fully modular supply so you can remove extraneous power cables.

    I'd be wary of used GPU's - I just had one go bad and it had no warranty left because it was bought used. My friend was out $250 on it.

    CPU cooler really isn't a huge deal, but I like Noctua's offerings. You have one of their fans, and their CPU coolers are very high quality. https://www.amazon.com/Noctua-NH-U1...pu+cooler&qid=1599548680&s=electronics&sr=1-4
