    sweet, pics?
Yep 1000 grit will work just fine but will will be sanding a bit longer.
Idk if the product you use to clean the lights effects if it has the orange peel since that is a direct effect of the vht and clear. I don't think there is a way around that, but let us know if it works.

TINTING is the key word. Although I have seen lights on here that are black as night. And around here there are alot of bro trucks with "blacked out" tails......and headlights, now that is retarded. mine are clearly visible in day or night.

Here are mine. This is two coats. Perhaps I held the can a little close, or maybe I went too slow. It seems to be darker for me.

Looks good man, might be right on the border but if there is visible light then you're good.

It seems to be fine. Tail and brake lights look bright enough to see during the day. My reverse lights are useless now though. I already have tinted windows and now with a tint over the light, you cant even notice a light. I'm in the process of figuring out some wiring and attachment points for a couple of extra rear facing spot lights. I wanted them for night time off roading anyway :)

Yea the first time I did mine my back up lights were hard to see so I just sprayed vht lightly over the reverse light section. Or you can tape them off like another member did

If you can, you should do a couple more coats. And is let them dry for a whole day just to make sure that the clear has cured completely. The warmer the weather, the better

After I sanded mine and used the rubbing compound and plastx, it still didn't shine like yours did. I don't know what to do because it doesn't look too good.. lol

Has anyone done this on their fornt lights? I have seen it and it looks awesome. I just wonder how well your headlights shine through it.

That may be why it doesnt shine. If you do it by hand then have to press hard and rub for a long time.

If you have a power drill I recommend using that with a polishing wheel attachment

Yeah. I also don't think I sanded well enough because I still have an orange peel-looking-light. lol. I'm getting a polishing wheel for my drill today and I'll let you know how it turns out.

Yeah I did it by hand as well and it took some time to get it right. I could have gotten it shinier if I had a polishing wheel though.
