2020 TRD Off RD Grille to TRD Pro Grille swap w/ front camera

I did not have any issues with the garnish clips. Slapped it right on and clipped right in.

I did not get the extension harness. But will consider it. Going to take off the middle harness clip and figure out a way. The first and last clip worked fine can just see the wires go Across behind the grille.

 

Is Grants mount for the 2020 Pro Grill with the camera hole built in or is it for the previous Pro Grills with no camera?

I have pre 2020 Pro Grille nd looking to add a camera but want it mounted like the 2020. What camera to use also?

No it doesnt. Only the 2020. Thats why i was trying to figure out of this mount @Grant83 makes is specific to the 2020 grill or not

 

Man same boat, I have my old 2019 pro grill from my old truck and now I own a 2020 trd OR with front camera.

 

The 2020 Pro Grill(PT228-35200-AA)only.

 

I own a 2020 Offroad with no camera but i put a 2019 Pro Grill so no camera or mount. I want to add camera and mounts to look like the 2020 Grill. Guess i have to keep searching. Biggest issue seems to be finding a front facing camera that doesnt have the metal threaded nipple facing up. Need a cam like that mounts like OEM but using aftermarket hookups like anytime backup brand

Yup thats what ill have to do. Camt remember if i asked or not. Did you use the germes lab hook up where you use steering wheel controls for camera or did you use anytime backup brand hookups with the separate camera switch?

 

I went with Beatsonic brand and wired to the shifter knob

 

Did you install the metal clips for the garnish? I cant figure out how the clips go on to make it sit flush. After driving, the garnish slides back. The top portion.

 

So far no sensor issues and this is what my front camera looks like now

Sorry man, no idea. I had the factory camera with the advanced tech package so I didn’t have to mess with wiring

 

Does anybody know whether the factory front camera or a knockoff is available for a reasonable price? I don't have the tech package to start with and am just going to use the Anytime kit.

 

Installed grilled + aftermarket garnish + camera mount from Grant and driven 600+ miles with no issues so far. Shout out to Grant for the mounting bracket, fits perfectly!

 

Then you'd just have to swap the hood.

Does anyone know if you upgrade your trd OR stock grill do you have to buy a new camera with the trd pro grill or do they just swap out the existing camera from the OR?

 

User Grant83 has a 3D printed bracket that allows you to do just that if you have the factory Toyota camera already on your OR. I don't have the front camera option so I am adding a Natika WD 012 with the Anytime Camera relay and switch and printing up my own bracket that will be adjustable for both depth and position using the Pro grills two screw bosses so that I can get it perfectly centered and right up against the aperture on the OEM Pro grill.
