I like! What does the SX package get you? I'm not familiar.

As best I can tell it's wheels, tires, and maybe suspension. Not sure about the last one. It's just a 2 wheel drive. I have no need for a 4x4 don't plan on hardcore wheeling maybe a back country road or light trail riding. I like the truck so far though.

I'm doubting they would. I'm probably going to go ahead and get the Maxx's anyway. I'm not wanting to be running around on slicks when fall trail runs and winter duck hunting come around the corner....

Ooh I would love to jump on this for some new 285's, but not great timing. Thanks for sharing, though.
I think they must do deals on Coopers periodically, I had a $75 rebate when I bought some ATPs for my old Taco several years ago.

DT also does a discount for veterans, btw.

Seen a couple built Tacoma’s at a hotel in north Little Rock last night. Didn’t have time to stop and look but they looked pretty good driving by. Wonder where they were headed?

I think I'll like the Cooper's. They've got a plant in Texarkana, I think, which is neat. Generally, they get good reviews.

Thank you for your service! I'm happy to support a place that supports vets.

Yep it’s a big plant. They make several brands there.

I just rotated my STT Pros last weekend and they're approaching 20K miles. I figured I'd lose some wet traction going to a MT but didn't. They have performed very well in all conditions, but hadn't had chance to use them in snow yet. Almost hoping we'll get snow on our CO trip this year. Main reason I wanted the Pros is they are aggressive, sidewalls are 3-ply, and E rating makes them tuff...but heavy. They are loud tho, and getting louder, but that's to be expected, so not the best interstate tire. So far they are wearing very well. Very happy with them.

I really want the STT Pros, but I know I'm not going to use them to their potential to justify the fewer miles I'd expect to get out of them compared to the ST Maxx's. I just drive to much highway and city. The Maxx's are definitely more aggressive than the lame stockies I currently have. Since I put the stiffer leafs in, I can't leave the gravel driveway at work without doing a burnout. :curls: Plus, they're a little cheaper.

I've had ST Maxx tires on my want list for probably 4 years now.

Does anyone happen to have a black grill for 05-11? Mine got crushed by a huge red hawk on the highway. I am toying with one of the fake TRD Pro grills or some other aftermarket grill, but would probably rather keep it clean and stock looking. I am in NWA.

Took a little drive out to Lake Winona in my wife's 4Runner yesterday.

We had one area that was more than what we should have gotten into w/o skids and a lift but we made it home safely. Only one scrape on the transmission cross member.

Overall I was very impressed with what a stock 4Runner Trail can do with decent tires. Wife said she doesn't feel like a poser driving a Trail Edition anymore. I'd say that's valid because we did have to use the rear diff locker to get up one area.
