anybody here winch out a flipped Tacoma on Saturday up near the hunter lake area?

 

Did you see it, or just heard about something? Just curious if you may have gotten a picture if so.

 

buddy at work flipped it..said some dude in a taco winched him out.

How are the trails up there to Hunter Lake?

Lots of wash outs?

 

Its pretty rough going. Not necessarily wash outs but some parts are rocky as shit up top from the Caughlin side. Its rougher than I ever remember it being at least.

 

The area near caughlin is kinda beat up. I see a bunch of kids up there messing around. I went on a pretty cool run up there last year. Worth checking out.

 

And like right at the access point too, ooof.

 

Does anyone around Reno have the equipment to change the rear wheel bearings on a 2nd gen? Looks like some sort of special press adapter needed. Taking axles out now, was just going to drop them off at Reno driveline, but if someone in here would be interested in doing it Id be happy to pay for your time.

Anyone happen to be out in BlackRock area? Little sis got a flat in her 3rd gen runner and she doesn't have the key for the lug nut lock. Will happily pay a few hundred bucks if someone can help her out. Otherwise I'm going to have to drive out there. She is Off soldier meadows road and apparently the tow trucks won't go out there. I think there are a few ways to get the lug nut lock off but she doesn't have shit for tools or the ability for that matter.

Went out Sunday to Eureka to help search for that missing para glider. Hiked up and down a steep canyon checking in a really thick aspen grove. No luck but it seems like a very tight knit group. They had guys from all over the western states that drove in to help.

From what it sounds like they are winding the private coordinated search down this week. Their private search effort was just as good if not better than any “official” search I’ve been involved in.

 

Perfect day of all days huh? It was one hell of a nice one for a change.
