Yep that's it. If they're still the same, the bottom left drawer on the top box is the laptop drawer. It's a good box, I like mine. The bottom right drawer has removable tray for your corded/cordless drills/drivers.

Been there with the sawhorses and a bench is definately a must for that hobby. I have a dedicated workbench now, but I also use a solid core door (stored when not in use) for assembly/etc.... Do you anticipate using hand tools like planes, shaves and draw knives? If so, you may run into issues with using castors, even the locking ones. I know they have ones that will allow the legs to go directly to the floor, but I'm not sure what they're called or if they'd fit with you table design. Just food for thought..

I do not plan on using them unless I have to. I'm using pretty basic tools for now (circular saw, chop saw, palm sander etc) but my dad had a lot of hand woodworking tools that I hope to start being able to use; if my brother's okay with it.

It's interesting you mention the castor wheels. I wonder if I could use some type of wheels chaulks. I would honestly have to build it first and tweak it as I go. That might simply be the best bet.

I've seen a caster that had something like this built into it:
    https://www.mcmaster.com/casters/floor-locks/
Not sure where they came from but it basically lifts the caster off the floor.

    My two cents;

Agree with rockslide on the milwaukee toolbox I know two guys that have them and really like them,
if you are not in a hurry to buy HD has sales on them quite often.

As for a table, my buddy who's a carpenter uses a plastic topped buffet table, legs fold into top and top folds in half fort easy storage.

It was Friday. It was a long week. I went out Friday night. Fight me.

I am definitely not in a hurry to get the new box. This project will be a process. I am pretty set on the Milwaukee box, however, I am curious to see the Husky in person at the store and compare them. I was hoping for some real world reviews on the Husky boxes but I cannot seem to find many people here that have them.

    FTFY.

If all you are doing is storing skottles and camp dishes and not doing chin ups off of them, HF cabinets would work fine! Their tool boxes are supposed to be pretty awesome as well.

I dont know if you can order from Uline without a business account, but I got one of their catalogues after starting my biz and they have a ton of industrial cabinets for CHEAP!! Its like grainger without the 5,000% markup. Definately using them once I get my new house and setup my garage.

I would also keep an eye out on Craig's list for old industrial type cabinets people are unloading. A quick coat of paint and you would have a setup that would withstand a meteor strike to your house.

You can order stuff from U-line.

Bryan, if you want a catalog, I have their latest one on my desk right now.

If you take the time to skim past all the industrial stuff, theres some garage use gems in there.

    What a weekend.

Saturday #1: worked in the garage for a few hours rearranging some things and coming up with a game plan for the garage project and then worked in the backyard bucking and splitting wood. Finished the day by cooking some steaks and making a bonfire.

Saturday #2 (Sunday) : Had my buddy over and worked on his Jeep; got his wheels derped, flares removed, some minor bodywork done and I installed his aftermarket radio. Plan was to have my brother over as well and work on bleeding my brakes and getting the drum boot fixed but my brother tweaked his back Friday and couldn't make it.

    Sunday (Monday) :

Chain was really dull on Saturday #1 from last weekend at my buddy's house cutting down that water soaked tree. Got some new chains, flipped the bar and then took down the tree with my mom's help.

The bushes will be coming out and the landscaping will be started. My buddy with the Jeep is in landscaping and forestry. He will be lending a hand with everything; including drawing up blueprints.

Got the measurements for the workshop figured out and a good plan drawn up. My mom sort of grounded my plans that I originally wanted to do because she reminded me that I need to tread carefully should I be moving away for good in the future. I don't want to invest too much if I'm not staying. Good conversation with her.

Don't worry, a new toolbox is definitely happening.

I love my HF tool chest. Extra deep and the the slides are great. It’s got a few thousand road miles in the trailer and held up great too on the way to and from the track loaded with tools and spares.

I am going to start off with some simple 2x4 and plywood open shelving. I wanted to get some tan cabinets, but, again, cost effective for now and upgrade once I figure out if I am staying or not.

I will definitely take your suggestion on the Craigslist ads. That's another good option to keep costs down. The big focus is going to be the toolbox.

Nice! I have been eyeing that cart as a roller for the garage. Space and cost will be a factor for sure. Appreciate the input, Connor!

    Fixed.
