The inner part of the wheel. Plus the old stick on weight tape or adhesive needs to be clean. :D

It doesn't look good with a clean front part of the wheel.

I have to remove all my wheels clean the inside then remove all the wheel weight sticky residue before my next wheel balance. Some garage like to remove the wheel weight residue with a razor blade and scratch the shit out of the wheels.

Doesn't bother me. I have some OCD, but that only goes so far. I generally go by the 20' rule.

My inner part of the wheel look like a zebra. Stripes everywhere from the wheel weight residue.

Plus the garage can't get a proper balance if they can't put a weight where it needs to be.

Yeah....I don’t really worry about the inside either. Now if I'm rotating the wheels I might shoot some simple green on the back and wipe off the gunk. But I've watched Tire Discounters apply the stick on weights and they hit it with a bit of brake cleaner on a rag before hand. So no worries about adhesion for me.

Hell...the 1st 3 years I had the thing, I just had them rebalanced with hammer on weights on the outside like the factory did. It's only been in the last couple of years that the stick ons were used....and that's only because Tire Discounters did it that way once and have kept with it.

Cleaning the wheel weight residue or gunk is to much work for the garage around here. That the owners job.

Morning boys and girls. Getting ready for a long road trip end of the month, thinking of ideas for how to keep my bad hip from screaming at me along the way. About two hours in any car and I have to pull over for a minute to pop the bastard back in socket.

Join the Army they said. It’ll be fun they said.

Seat risers in the rear helped my lower back a lot but did nothing for hip pain.

I don't really have much advice. But frequent stops might be prudent

I found with me that if I got in a good position I just went as far as I could because I knew once I got out I would never be as comfortable again
