Unless I or the person on the other end of the tape measurer royally fucked up, I measured my truck (2019 TRD OR DCSB) at about 17 feet and 11 inches.

I'm looking at buying a house or town home. One house I looked at was super nice and I really liked it, but it had kind of a community driveway and the garage was only 19 feet deep.
Another house I looked at the garage was only 16 feet deep and not much of a drive way.

A couple of town homes I looked at, the garage was 20 feet deep but a pole right in the middle of the garage.

It's just annoying because I bought the shortbed because I was hoping to avoid these issues.

Yeah, its tight for me. I have about an inch or two in front and rear for mine to fit. I placed bricks on the ground to stop my tires so I fit perfect every time.

You should be able to fit bro, especially with a SB. Beginning of summer I reorganized my garage so both my 20 LB and my wife’s 20 Rav could fit . I have about 2- 3 inches at front of truck and same at rear of play. Maybe more, and you having a short bed - should have no issues.

It doesn't sound like this is the Taco's fault? It is pretty small compared to most other trucks and SUVs. Hell, our original neighbor at the current house bought a particular F250 because it was the biggest thing that he could get and would fit in the garage. There was zero useable storage space around the truck. He wanted a bigger, stock truck.

Prior to the Taco, we only had medium sized cars. Most of the homes that we looked at had undersized garages. Around here, most folks use their garages as storage space since basements are very rare. We're garage obsessed, so parking inside was a priority.

Short of a custom build, you need to figure out what on the wishlist is more important.

My 20x22 is pretty tight also, thanks to a workbench on one side and intruding wall on the other (previous homeowner expanded the pantry at the expense of the garage). If I put my passenger mirror within 1 inch of the camper and line up the outermost rear camera guideline against my toolbox, she'll fit. But it's a challenge. Sometimes I fuck it up and bump the wheel dolly that the trailer sits on, which in turn causes it to smash it's marker light against the workbench. I just buy the 10 pack of marker lights and keep them on my shelf as a consumable now.

Maybe you already know this, but in our area, many condo/townhome communities want vehicles parked inside garage and the door shut. Just thought I'd mention that in case you were considering leaving your truck outside. Best bet, give your agent your smallest acceptable length, and let him/her filter them out.

I wish i could, but most listing do not mention garage length. Most of the garages I have measured have been about 19 feet deep. We're talking about 6-9 inches of clearance on both sides of the truck

How deep is your garage without that shelving? I'm guessing the access cab is as long as the DCSB

tight squeeze in all directions for my garage too. I have about 7 or 8 inches of extra space, but I back it in so I can use the camera and put my tow hitch an inch off the back wall. Seemed easier than trying to go in head first without a camera for that tight of a squeeze.

Hopefully my Limited will be in Friday. I have a 20’ deep garage. I’ve had to rearrange things, sell some, throw some away to have the room with my Lexus SUV. It will be tight.

My garage is 20 ft 4 inches @ garage door. Still have room to spare for my 20 DCLB and my wife’s 20 Rav 4 . On a side note I highly recommend stop light aside from tennis ball/ string to prevent bumper hitting walls . I made our garage dummy proof for my wife . Mainly got it Incase she ever drives the Tacoma. 20 bucks at Home Depot and works like a stop light. Red light comes on when 6 inches from wall.

    Mine just sits outside.

It would fit, but try fitting both that and an Expedition in a 2 car garage. We also have a 1-bay garage on the other side of the house but it's not long enough.

I also want to build a workbench in the garage for woodworking so...yeah it's going to sit outside.

Dang this thread makes me feel fortunate that I have an oversized garage. We’ve been looking for a new house and I already said no to one that my wife liked because the garage was just too small. I got a lot of eye rolling over that one. Don’t do it bro! Haha! I wound kill for more room in my garage haha. I reworked / hacked up shelves so I could park my long bed inside . At least in So Cal, oversized garages hard to come by.
