This is why i love picking your brain lol.

Having the bike apart that far, i might as well do the kickstart since it should’ve come with one anyway lol.

i’m leaning towards stage 1 cams.

convince me why i should do stage 2 lol

    and why not the lectron?

I heard the stage 2 cams are hard on the starter since their duration is so long

    Because power.

My bike never had an issue with the starter. At all.

Never had a lectron and i know the fcr worked well. The fcr was probably the biggest change i noticed on the bike

I like the idea of no tuning ever.

we just put a 40mm fcr kit from procycle on my brother’s dr650 this summer and it made a big difference but its still not dialed in 100% we’ve been messing with it all summer...

The lectrons are not tune free by any means. You have to get the correct metering rod. Where the keihin carb you can dial in each circuit. Some people have luck with lectrons but i wouldnt suggest it on a built up motor

I’d talk to them before i put it on a big bore motor. Just to make sure they set it up right.

my understanding is they are 90% right of the bat which is fine by me.

I dont think my dynojet kit has ever been that close. So an FCR would be starting completely over again and adjusting all the time :anonymous:

Lol damn straight! Mostly miss having trail access right across the street

Hopefully it holds out...I just checked my local weather and it says isolated thunderstorms this weekend, strongest chance on Sunday.

Any thoughts where/when you want to meet? @LocoLocal you coming ?
