Oh just wait all those parking sensors, lane departure, etc are becoming mandatory on all new vehicles too. In other words all the dummy systems that make people reliant on them vs actually driving and paying attention. Google the story as too why too it's quite ridiculous too. I'd post it but it's political soooooo............

just get a new sensor and write down the serial number and write down the old one as well. It’s pretty easy to program in techstream. I think Carista can do it as well.

If you take the new sensor to Discount Tire, they'll program it to your vehicle, in most cases fo free...

If they actually get out the tool to do it and don't just tell you to drive it for 50 miles and it'll sync. Just get up with @SearArtist and use techstream

I'm planning to disable the sensors on my 2005 T4R. Seems like a simple process, just connecting two wires.

Depends on who you speak to when you go. As a guy who worked there for 15 years, I know EVERY new sensor must be programmed. Most of the new kids that change the tires don't pay enough attention or care to know. Company isn't what it used to be, and that's one of the many reasons I chose to leave and change industries.

I still buy my tires there because the certs and they cover everything, but I don't have any faith in the monkeys working there.

You can buy the certs on the tires if you bought them somewhere else. They'll usually include the lifetime balancing if you do that. Depends on the location, and who you speak to when you go in.

I have been meaning to get rid of the light on my 2005 GX470 for the last 2 years. Tape is covering it now. I think it only takes 10 mins to disable the light

I personally think Karate teaches the basics and gets them into the habit and discipline to better prepare them to receive and truly learn BJJ correctly. Otherwise, a 5 year old is going to run around and disrupt the class while the others are trying to learn and retain the information learned

At the same time, I feel it's a case by case basis. I think my daughter would have been fine to start jui-jitsu from the start. My son is too wild and would have distracted the rest of the class. Also, advancing in BJJ is SO MUCH SLOWER as opposed to Karate. Some children would be very discouraged if it takes 8-10 months for a belt, but there's only so far you can go in BJJ before a certain age. There's no junior black belt in BJJ. My daughter will likely be a black belt in Karate by the time she's a teenager. She will be lucky if she's halfway through the BJJ belts by the time she's 18.

That’s a good point. I think she would like karate to begin with and then we can go from there. She will be 4 when we get her started so it’s not like she will be a master at anything right away. Will basically be getting her involved in something.

The newer stuff is a lot harder to "trick" they keep adding safe guards to that kind of stuff into the programming of the computers. Surprised your wife's t4r has them being that old!

I don't even have to worry with it :D

There is a BJJ place that just opened up here took over where the krav maga place was. I'm thinking about joining and getting back into training again. With everything going on I feel it necessity to have all the tools you can to be able to handle situations.

I wrestled in High School and have practiced BJJ for years, I can handle myself. I've been in enough fights to not want to be in any more fights again. There's not really a situation where I can see myself putting hands on anyone at this stage in my life.

EDIT: That's not to discourage you from taking it up. There are a multitude of benefits, I just don't really count self defense as one of them.
