Time to test fit my chains again with 32's to remind myself how to install them easily and make sure I have everything in the tool bin.

you want to drop $25k on a 25 year old truck with 250k miles? you can't afford it

 

Budget is 10k but mileage is about on par. Now you see why I can’t find one don’t you but if you do find one I’ll toss you a couple Busch lights

 

$10k gets you a clean body SD 7.3 with 250-350k

 

My buddy is getting ready to sell his mint body 02 Duramax ext cab with Allison transmission, I think it has <175k on it. He doesn't believe me when I say it's worth more than KBB in this market...

Fummins swap it and you'll likely be out under 20k.

 

or drive it with the 460 and save the $14k for the next 6 years months of fuel

Yeah, anymore with modern diesels I'd just prefer a gasser. 12v with light mods is a different story. Injectors and funny exhausts that can't make it 100k miles.

 

things aren't so bad now that everyone is switching back to common rail instead of HUEI injectors... but yeah, the DEF/DPF thing is an expensive PITA

 

6.7l >
