Oh yeah, this will be my greatest adventure. I'm pretty excited.

So I got my airbag replaced at Adam's Toyota today and I reviewed my dash cam footage. Dude, their shop is pretty cool.

 

i need to take my truck up and have them inspect my frame one of these days.....

 

They were surprisingly quick with it; I'd recommend them. Plus, it's a straight shot south on 7, then just right on Colbern and bam, you're there.

Back in benning that shit never worked. It set itself off or never turn on. We ended up just saying fuck it. That night it fucking poured its ass off and got to like 34*. I was on Comms duty with DS Rodas, and my wet weather gear didn't do shit to stop the rain. My relief never came so I ran double duty. By the time I got to rack out I was shivering so bad I was cramping. Still dug a foxhole in the rain and hunkered down and got some shut eye.

It costs a lot less than the big names. As she said, we got a deal on it, which saved ~100 off shipping. Next I'm gonna get their skid kit. ~$500 shipped for all 3 skids, where most places like SOS charge over $200 before shipping for one skid and then toss on $150 in shipping costs. Budget built, and I like to be able to say it's built not bought.

Watch Copart, some of them can go for really cheap depending on condition. Don't expect to get a drive able one for cheap though..... Those can get run up to KBB even with high mileage and a salvage title.

I'm scared to do anything crazy till I get the sliders and skids on. Hopefully next year we can get out somewhere and The Rona doesn't hamper plans.

 

We don't plan on super technical stuff. I've thrown out White Rim and Long Canyon as my choices so far. I'd do Hells Revenge and posssibly bypass Hell's Gate. We'll see.

 

All I gotta say is come back safe brother. No shame if you think something is too much. I've backed down from a few things before because I wasn't comfortable testing my luck.

 

That's the plan. I'm hesitant to do much until I get skids myself, so I'm right there withcha.
