I have the 52" Husky, laid out similar to the Milwaukee you posted. Mine is the gloss black and has roller bearings instead of sliders. I'll never go back to slides. I love it, doesn't have some of the features available now but I got it for under $600 on sale probably 5 years ago. A customer of mine bought one for their machine shop and they loved it. I just waited a while and eventually they went on sale. Another thing to keep an eye out for is in store returns. I saw one identical to mine a couple months later for like $500. Mine doesn't have the built in power strip but had knock outs to run power through so I just added my own as well as some LED light strip around the inside of the lid.

What is the price point of said HFT knockoff? I have the original I picked up at Lowes during black friday sale for $60

I appreciate the input, bro. Thanks!!

That's what I recall as well. It was over 5 years ago that I bought it. Couldn't even remember. Thanks Conner!

Plot twist. South Coast Conner didn’t invite you. Something about excessive time spent at the gym was mentioned

If your looking for garage cabinets keep an eye out for used kitchen cabinets, that's what everyone I know uses.
Just make sure when you put them on the wall that you hit a stud.

Another good idea. I was going to cruise some local, village Facebook pages for ads too. Most of the time they get rid of that stuff and it's in decent condition and free.

I did this too, started with a couple from my neighbors remodel and then saved a few more from our remodel last year. I have one wide 4 door I'm making my son's workbench/outdoor toy storage. I rattle can them black couple stickers here and there and they fit right in.

Also back on the tool boxes, if you get one with 6 casters I've noticed they always show putting the 2 fixed casters in the middle and swivels on the ends. This makes it almost impossible to get up close to a wall and takes a lot more space to maneuver. I put the fixed ones opposite the handle end and then push that in towards the corner then you can swing the other end in.

Even the really bad ones offer advantages. If it's worth the effort (not far and several cabinets) then I'll go just for the hardware. Drawer slides add up and I've been able to build a number of shop cabinets using the salvaged hardware (slides and hinges).
