    I concur

Never understood why people pay so much for these things that are built to offroad and then the minute the trail turns to more than a well maintained road they can't go over it. I enjoy dusting the shit out of them. Which is the biggest reason I would never want one. Go buy a beater 4x4 and enjoy AC and not inhaling dirt. I honestly don't see the purpose to these for recreation.

Got behind one going super slow on the last trip. Went to pass on a long straight away and the shit cut me off.

Ours has a heater and the new ones have AC, fairly closed cab, use the shit out of it year round. Way better than bouncing around in a truck all day

Why do people insist on bypassing puddles and rocks? I don't think I've seen any of that high class stuff out here yet surprisingly. Maybe only in the winter.

Air your tires down and the ride won't be so shitty. Can't take much longer than loading a trailer to air them back up.

I don’t know why other people do what they do, airing down isn’t worth the time. Loading is easy now, pull it on, run the winch out, hook up and run it in.
There are definitely assholes out there, but I don’t think you can group all side by sides together off of the actions of a few.

    ALL OF THEM!...Then some more.

I don't get it either. The only people that can be having all the fun is who ever is in front not just inhaling a pound of dust per mile.

And yeah not AC. No Heater. No radio. And even if you do have those things like the cab, it's LOUD as fuck, rattles like crazy. The engines are loud as hell. Half deaf everywhere you go. They get shit gas mileage and are not any faster or comfortable.

I know for a fact my double cab rids smoother than any UTV over most everything. Plus...i can carry a fridge...and tent...and tools...and food for 2 weeks...and a dog..and clothes...and stay dry, warm/cool, with a radio.

They are the biggest rip off ever.

You could totally buy a 1st gen tacoma, put nice suspension on it, sliders, skids, and bigger tires and it would be cheaper than half the UTVs i see out there. It's crazy.

A guy I work with sold his turbo Razr and purchased a 1st Gen Tacoma that he is outfitting for exploring. He said his wife refused to ride around without HVAC and rain protection.

That's it, no sanding scrubbing, or massive amounts of elbow grease, just rub in the toothpaste let it set and wipe it off.
I'll try it, what the hell if it doesn't work, I have an extra tube of toothpaste. Scary part is if that shit will remove the crusty yellowed crap from my headlights, what does it do to your teeth.

what would yall suggest I do to fix this paint issue on this place right below my drivers door. It was already like this when I purchased the truck, luckily there's no bare metal showing, but it's looks like shit.

Well I have my Factory gravel guards/squirrel/cat/small animal/ protectors painted and ready to put back on the road. I don't want to call them Skid Plates, unless I plan on skidding across some soft grass. From the pics of the trails I've seen here on TW , I know now why people invest in Transmission/gas tank/Transfer Case 3/16 to 1/4 inch real skid plates. I figure the factory ones are better than nothing, but just barely. I've had to say they would be okay for a mall crawler, but that's about the most abuse I'd ever want to put them through. How hard is it to to tap/clean up the threads on the truck. Mine are buggered up pretty good. I can get the bolts in but it requires a bit of elbow grease or an impact gun to get them on.

If the threads are just dirty I would spray some brake cleaner or rust penetrant in them and use a wire brush to clean them out.

I don't think it's dirty threads, the bolts are buggered up, and I replaced a couple of them, but the threads on those are slightly buggered up too. I think some dick head at Jiffy lube cross threaded them when the previous owner had the truck. used an impact wrench on them and presto, fucked em up good. I just don't want to break off a tap inside the part of the frame.

I'd thought about that, taping off the lower part of the truck and doing it in Black Bed liner, I already need to do the bed after removing my plastic liner. It rubbed off the pain in quite a few places. going to spray some rust stop on those areas until I decide what to do.

Lube and lots of back and forth and you should have no problem with the tap.

that's exactly what I was looking for. Lower half of the body in bed liner should give me some great protection from flying gravel and shit. did you also paint the fender flares or are yours already black. Mine are painted to match the Lunar mist truck color. What bed liner did you use, and was it brushed or sprayed on.

The 1st Gen: All pro 3” lift (650 lbs coils, expedition rears with bilstiens),Timbren rear bumpstops, ubolt flip, diff drop, carrier bearing drop, 33’s on beadlocks ,ARB Bumper, winch, hand throttle, ARE canopy, roof bars, poly bushings all around minus the body mounts. The 2nd Gen: Leveling kit, roll up tonneau cover. 265/75/16’s
My biggest gripe with the UTV’s where I live is the amount of trash they generate and leave on the road/trail. I bring 2 contractor bags now just to pick up beer cans on camping trips. Usually fill one all the way up. I rode around with my buddy in his clearing road and snow wheeling which was a lot of fun. He broke his back in it the next weekend. I’ll never buy one. I’ll just dump stupid amounts of money into my 1st gen.
