the ford 6.2l and 7.3l gassers seem like a really good choice these days

You see I need a work truck not another project lol
Well yeah if I wanted to fix a 6.0 on a weekly basis I could pick one up for cheap. But I don’t feel like playing the “why won’t my truck start this time?” game every day again. If I’m honest I’ll end up finding a 99-03 crew cab 7.3 with a manual for around 12k. But let me have my pipe dream damn it.

Hey my 02 f350 had 425k on it when I gave it back to the company I worked for. And I did the maintenance on it for the 75k I put on it. I have no interest in a 6.0l though.

or I could continue the trend of poor financial decisions I’ve made and get another car loan now that I paid both of them off...

I am still enjoying the 8.1L for truck things. Glad I got the long bed. Had to get a daily because the truck likes to drink gas too fast.

as far as I know it was with head studs and the upgraded EGR cooler.

Never had any of the typical issues with the injectors, head gaskets, egr cooler, or FICM. It kept killing sensors and stuff though. Turns out the engine harness had chafed through in the valley and was shorting out.

I liked the truck and loved how it sounded but after getting stuck in the mountains 2x with a trailer due to electrical issues it was time to say goodbye.
