Nope. I was 14 and was calling my mom from the Houston airport. I was checking in with her to let her know that we made it ok, before we all flew to Panama for a missions trip.

 

Same, but I figured I am relatively close. The last time I saw one was probably 5 or so years ago because I distinctly remember taking a pic with it (which I unfortunately cannot find).

I think it was 8 or 9 years ago I last used a pay phone. I was on a solo bike trip. Left my old place in New Brunswick and cut through a few of the states for a good drive. I went through Maine , New Hampshire , Vermont and New York before cutting back up into Ontario. However my cell phone didn't work in the states. The drive was talking longer than suspected(I kept detouring and hitting all the twisties through the white and green mountains) so I thought I should call and update my Girlfriend, and now wife, that I wasn't dead and would be a little late. I drove through three or four towns looking for a functioning pay phone. I would finally find one and the damn thing wouldn't work. That was a fun but long day. I spent about 14 hrs on the old ninja that day.

 

well crap, we had two really nice days here, low humidity and lower temps, and oh how nice those 2 days were. Today was creeping back into the normal shit days. Tomorrow is definitely going to be back to normal high humidity and higher temps which means late afternoon and evening thunderstorms. Was really nice walking these last two days, and I'm so looking forward to the end of this high temp high humidity shit. But at least we didn't get hit like they predicted for Denver, High yesterday 94 degrees, High today 38 degrees, WOW what a drastic change. I finished painted my fake factory skid plates and the bed tie down handles. Removed my plastic bed liner, now just have to make a decision on what to do. If only I had deeeeeeeep Pockets.

 

Last time I used a pay phone it cost a dime. Time for an early evening nap. We'll see who the late night owls are later.
