Moved here about a year ago. Live west of Baltimore until I can find my own place and work in D.C. I’ve missed a few good caps on CL and have been scanning trucknamerica. Would like to start camping, overlanding and exploring the east coasts

    Cole,
We have some peeps from here over West of B'More.

Go over here https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/north-east-craigslist-finds.182657/page-1223 and post up exactly what you want.

If you plan on sleeping back there I highly recommend a cap that is higher than the cab like the A.R.E. MX, or the Leer 180 line or even the Leer 122 (maximum amount of interior room. A lot of guys that get a cap to sleep under regret not getting a mid/high rise version. They say it's like sleeping in a coffin.

If you want immediate bin style storage and don't plan on needing a lot of interior room, a contractors cap is a good choice. Most of these come with built in bin style storage accessible from the outside. Perfect for tools, recovery gear, you name it. Then there is some room on the inside too. Some are outfitted on both sides with bins, and some on only one side.

You can mount a roof top tent on a cap too, which free's up inside room. Again, the contractors cap will be strong, lightweight, provide ample storage from the outside, and also the inside. If you don't have any height restrictions and want to keep the cost to an absolute minimum this would be my choice. I've seen these types of caps go for as low as $200 in really decent shape.

Nah, training a new guy. There were squatters (as well as needles) in this house though.

It would have been better training if the building was on fire. Rescuers, rescued, film at 11 and so on. :bananadead:

Someone on here asked about using my spring compressor recently. I have some temporary lighting in the garage now so you are more than welcomed to use it if you still need it.

I was going to use it (again) but now that my sliders are on the truck drives perfectly. So no need to swap!

Thank you for the input. Defiantly a lot to consider. Rn I mostly want it to get tools out of my cab. It’s starting to get hard to keep clean and tidy. My brother has a 4 runner. It’s very nice but My truck is all paid off and have no interest in getting another.
