Finally finished painting the truck by Spray can. Ain’t perfect by any means but it came out better than I expected lol. Now if only these fires would stop so the ash would stop!

You did that with a spray can!!!!!. Looks pretty good. what brand did you use, and did you clear coat the paint when you where done.Is hat bed liner on the hood, and again if so what brand did you use. You saved several thousand dollars from not taking it to a body shop to have it painted. Doesn't look too bad.

And 100% agree... with what you pay for one of those dumb pieces of shit, you could buy a stock 1st Gen, outfit it, and still have some left over for beer.

Pretty sure fires are going to put a damper on my plans of doing a couple sections of the Idaho BDR when I get home. Sucks the Rubicon is on fire. It will likely be closed for BAER surveys and soil stabilization/ replanting after the fire. Hopefully that’s the option they opt for and not permanent closure.

If only they'd go back to Forest Management, and let them clear out the dead trees and under brush, that way it wouldn't be a tinder box just waiting to ignite.

Meh, Forest Service Management takes so long to get anything done, that it would probably be better with a private logging ownership entity. That is, as long as there is desirable wood. If it’s undesirable wood, the Forest Service is the way to go, because they’re willing to go in the hole to log... It will just take 5 years from the time they lay the timber unit out until the time there’s a cable machine or helicopter bringing logs to the landing.

Here’s an idea, go buy a bunch of rednecks with lifted Chevy square body’s a 30 rack, some bar oil and mixed fuel and tell them that they get paid $25 a cord of dead stuff that they haul out.

Several of my buddies from hunting lodge have had this discussion, and we all stick with our older pickups. Seems that those high priced buggies lose a lot in value in a short amount of time too!

Nice! Do you run those exclusively? I plan on using inner and outer tie rods from them for my rebuilt steering rack (when I get around to rebuilding it lol)

Trying to decide if I wanna use them for my ball joints as well

Last summer I did my rack, inner and outers. Was really happy with the quality. I only drive the truck about 4,000 miles so they will be more then good enough.

Nice! Is that 4000 SUPER hard miles?

I'll probably go OEM balljoints and 555 tierods since this is my DD and play rig
