Alright, all you Sick Sac Freaks, you're going to have a new neighbor. Selling our house in Oakland, and moving to El Dorado Hills for a year before moving on out of state. A few blocks from Green Valley Rd, and Salmon Falls Rd.

Forgot to ask, PR to boot? It's a Puerto Rican halibut? That was a long swim.

Ha! I was just over at salmon falls this morning with some family. It’s awesome over there. Tons of trails to hike and a couple launch areas to put in at the end of the south fork American river/tip of Folsom lake. Lucky bastard! I lived in EDH for a couple of years and miss it.

Another TW shipment came in today. Phenix M1 rod and another Pflueger Supreme reel. Rod feels amazing. Can’t wait to try it on the water.

This one is the size 30. Its a step up from the smallest one and its a PERFECT size for all of the finesse-style fishing I do. I am a big pflueger guy overall, and the supreme is one of my favorite reel models they make.

Got it. I have the tiniest pflueger. I hauled in a 1,5 lb bass on it. So much fun. I did bump up to a 1000 series (smallest One in That reel). Daiwa Fuego. Loaded it with 20lb braid for a much better hook set.
My brother dropped his pflueger supreme and the company fixed it like new for free.

That's awesome Pflueger did that! Yeah I like the Fuego too! Not a bad reel for the price. Did you end up hitting the Russian? Any luck?

It gets really bad out there in those areas of the river this time of year. Can’t stand crowds out there at the Russian! I usually drive north and find a good spot to pull over and wade. Some of the best spots I’ve found are the ones that you have to wade a mile up or downstream to find. Lol

100% agree with this. Fish Healdsburg North (for Smallmouths and trout. Save the Lower Russian for steelheading and salmon. There are certainly plenty of bass in the lower, just not worth the hassle.

Who can get out. Freakin fires everywhere. National Forests closed. It's a god damned train wreck of a summer.

Pretty much agree. Been a terrible summer. This winter and spring was awesome fishing-wise, but now it’s Armageddon everywhere. I did hear the Delta bite is picking up again. Couple buddies smoked the largemouth out there over the weekend.

Went to clear lake Thursday. Was Smokey but water was calm. We hit the beginning of a cold front so the fish were bashful.

caught 1 myself and my brother caught 4. Couldn’t spot fish for anything on the screens. Weird day.
