The whole district here was undecided about what was going to happen all the way up till maybe a week or so before day 1 of school. The wife was told that she was going to be the technology teacher all summer until 2 weeks before classes start when all of a sudden now she's told she's going to be reaching 6th and 7th grade science. They've known the whole time that she's going out on maternity in like 2 weeks yet they gave her more classes than before which she now has to do a full syllabus AND sub plans. I don't know who's running the show.

Did it, they don't like me too much. We may be pulling mine and doing something different too bad even the HS groups are dead and the activites they do are still closed. Nothing is ideal right now. Our teachers have been doing a good job at what they can with well I'd say not the type of support they should of been getting via IT guys throughout the initial closures through the summer. I feel bad that they now have to figure out some of this stuff. My daughter's teacher has thankfully been very patient with me and well my lack of skill in the computer game at getting her set up and up and running and logged in correctly etc.
Good for you!!! Getting a more in depth view of things has been an even bigger eye opener than I already knew was there just not to the extent.

I feel bad for the brick and mortar kids as the whole virtual thing has a hella learning curve. Heck, the first month of every year for us is crazy and we DO it. I cannot imagine the load the kids and parents have with this basically thrown at them :/

You know who is those that are completely disconnected from the classroom. Just like everything else.
Many very unpleasant emails to the powers above the teachers. We are managing. I have found some great HS sources that I've been ordering to help my daughter because this way of learning is not conducive for her retaining information.

It was a group of off-road enthusiasts who used to frequent TW. Some still exist. The crew that got me into off roading, really.
