Just keep in mind that you need all the clutch pedal stuff, the interior harness, you have to either cut and reweld the cross member or out in an aftermarket member. New driveshafts... It's a lot of work. I did it once, not looking to do it again

 

Meh if it's something I only need to do once I'll fucking do it, the parts though, I've only ever seen 2 manual toyota trucks one at a yard and my buddies the one at the yard was crushed

Yup, manual ecu hooks in and you have to have a clutch switch and clutch start cancel or that shit don't start. Need the manual engine/trans harness too

 

Gotta have a whole parts truck, doing it onesy twosy you'll go broke.

 

Just realized you did a 6 lug frame swap on that 5 lug and left the 2RZ alone.

 

Saw a 2004 MT V6 ECU on eBay with a full harness for $700 a while back. Almost pulled the trigger. Usually the 2003-2004 MT ECUs go for a bit more alone.

 

The v6 are the only ones that have any ecus that share similar wiring too. Swapping a 4 banger is annoying, everything has to match the year and configuration for what you're doing.

Yeah that sounds like a real PITA. The purple 4Runner I pulled a core support from was a 3RZ 5-speed but it was fully stripped. Chances of @Running Board Man finding a full parts truck in Texas are low.

 

@Empty_Lord what happened? I saw you come online and then checked and you were offline? @esxcli and I were in game.

 

I only care to know how far On average I can go on one tank, cause I tend to stretch it a bit, always have more fuel with me though.

Yeah the motor is still running strong. Had the top end done about 8 years ago. Best part was the 4x4 w59 was a direct bolt on. Here is my build page for it.

Isn't the 2rz just a 3rz with a shorter stroke?
