I've heard of people trying the 35 tunes with 33s and noticed little to no difference. Give er hell. Might be better, who knows. Keep me posted

I'm on 31.6" tires on the 35" tune lol. Runs pretty good, especially with ECT on. However I also installed a speedometer calibrator which changes the shift points in the ECM and that helps even more.

P.S. I also went back to the THX tune as well. Liking it.

    @Mooseditty17
Since I am a stock tire tune and wanting to retain my AGM settings I copied/pasted your edits on the single table from your tune and went for a quick drive so far. I am mostly ECT-on all the time and I feel like this edit has improved some pedal feel without being overly aggressive. It just moved the modulation to a point where the pedal doesn't need to be pressed as far as prior. I can see playing with this some more over time but it was not too aggressive for my stock rig/gears/tire size. Thanks for taking the plunge and sharing it!!

I see this update as a tweak for foot-to-brain go go sauce.

Are there separate tables available in VF for throttle sensitivity in D versus D + ECT? In other words, can we keep Mat's throttle settings in 2.0 for normal D mode but increase them by 25% when (and only when) ECT is enabled? Or is that something that's still in development?

Quick question for anyone that may know, does the ecu adjust throttle based on steering angle? My truck majorly bogs in turns but as soon as I straighten out the wheel it seems to take off with ease. I can mash the pedal to the floor in a turn or push it a 1/4” and I get the same result.

no, that's your steering pump stealing your power.

I changed the tire size in the drive train control to the equivalent of stock tire size on your file. Gonna flash it and check it out in a couple hours when I leave for lunch.

Thanks for the suggestion I’m Somewhat aware of the steering pump surge. Can’t understand how it can rob 3/4s of the engines power though. Odd

I haven't seen it. It would certainly be a good thing to be able to do. You could essentially have your own performance map switching. That'd be the shit! @OVTune , is this currently possible?

At idle, the engine is making very little power and the variable assist rack is going to be sucking its hardest. So, it makes sense to me, esp if you have bigger, stickier tires.

It's definitely a placebo as far as "performance" gains. Just seems like the truck actually moves when it asked to move.

I've used this to my benefit when hooking up to trailers on uneven ground. Sometimes the extra revs from wiggling the steering wheel is enough to hook up without overshooting!

Post #44818 in the dev thread by OVTune implies that yes it does. I recall him saying outright that it does but can’t find the post.

Also on the stock tune i can replicate throttle limit based on steering angle at a fixed accelerator angle every single time on a certain corner near my house. Pedal to the floor and it will go at a turtle pace until wheel straightens out, then takes off.

The band aid fix I use is to run higher rpm either through s mode or modifying shift points so the engine can make more torque at limited throttle.

just went and found that post, its from about 18 months ago.. a lot has changed since then

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...lopment-thread.495735/page-2241#post-20677692

I would think that the throttle limit controls he found in the last few days will help with this issue.

Yes I never experienced this in 2.0 so I’m sure things changed for the better. I’m just saying the stock tune would do this.
