Sheesh I go away for 2 days and have 8 pages to catch up on

Diff diapers - they're not as bad as people say. I've beat the shit out of my RCI armor and they're still great.

Stock lift - get armor. Drive careful. Don't be a hero.

Nut splitters - wish I had these 2 months ago. Would have saved me a big headache. Get em

Trucks in winter - tacos drive better than Jeeps in winter weather. Fight me.

Trucks not being driven/princesses - to each his own. I bought my truck to drive it, so I'm gonna drive it

Stomach Paralysis - ouch man. Now I gotta look that up lol

    Anyone looking for camping/wheeling - https://www.naturalstateoverland.org/

Didn't say one was better than the other; short wheelbase can downright suck (or be stupid fun) in slick conditions. Having options is pretty sweet, though.

My truck is pretty much just a truck. I have it to do truck things (i.e. move stuff). The jeep is the bullshit toy.

Short wheel base is why I told @Slashaar if we ever had a dedicated rig, I'd want it to be a 4Runner. Nothing really against Jeeps (Not older ones, anyways) but I feel way more familiar with Toyota.

I bought 2 sets. One is going to live in the toolbox and one is going in the toolbag that lives in the truck. It's so much easier than cutting, grinding, heating, etc. This set goes up to a 22MM (7/8") so i should be set for about anything.

From now on, this will definitely be one of the first tools that come out. It saved a colossal amount of time.

    Yeah, not a bad idea.

I'm not a gung-ho jeep fan, just have had mine for a decade and grown a bit attached. First real vehicular project and whatnot. It was a cheap option when I couldn't find a Scout II, and probably a better decision in the long run at that.

Ultimate goal is to eventually find a 70-series Land Cruiser once the facelifted trucks with 1HD-FTE turbo diesel can pass the 25-year import rule.

If I have to go to the dealership, I go to Adams. We have always been treated well there. I've never seen their shop though.

Thanks for the head's up. That would be a cool truck to have and I wish him the best with the sale.

I guess I'm just a bit picky. I know exactly the build of truck I want specifically with a manual and the later turbo diesel. This is also the final step in a plan involving buying land and building a barn to park everything. I'm over parking stuff outside if I can help it and am currently maxed out on garage space.

Ha. I'm getting about 14mpg on the average.
At least as heavy as you with Dirty Fives.

    3rd gen, 6spd, with the awesome " @Shellshock " tune.

I also drive slow most of the time.....
