Sorry delayed on this quoted response...

I don't know how but the previous owner used a push mower to do 3/4 acre of grass. I'm buying a ride on for sure.

Ordered OEM - It'll be here today. Swapping it this weekend. Also ordered new pins for the otherside. I'll replace the caliper on the otherside after I get situated in the new house.

Has anyone tried rebuilding our calipers? Is it doable?

Welp :pccoffee: Just spent $155 on Eastwood.com for all their chassis rust products. Gonna have a PRETTY F-250!

Also, if anyone was wondering what I am planning on doing to the truck, this series of videos is what inspired me.

1/3 acre whole lot here, so minus drive, house, landscaping, etc. I have a self propelled, which I use constantly.

Anyone done plastidip on their wheels here? I know there's the vinyl covers but I think I want to do plastidip first time around, side benefit for me is that I need to rotate them anyway so they're coming off, makes it easier. Don't want to scuff and paint, I know that would be better.

My neighbor has a similar size lot, with an in ground pool (plus skirt), a detached 2 car garage, etc. My yard goes to my fence line. He has a ride on. :notsure: I was tempted - they make some that have a plow/snow blower attachment, could use it as a "mini" tractor to move wood to stack it where the sun is best and then stack it in the garage once seasoned. It's still not a definite NO, depends on our texas plan.

I got a rider when we got the house (3/4) acre, with the intention of adding snow blower, general tractor stuff. Well, I bought a stand alone snow blower, seemed more cost effective and folks didn’t have a lot of good things to say about the attachment kind. My trailer seemed to get a flat every year, now just sits with 2 flat tires and a pile of scrap wood in it. The wheelbarrow continues to work well.

Yeah that's my concern - I only have a 3 car drive, I have a plug in push blower right now, IN THEORY I can get the truck into the back yard to stack wood back there, the gate SHOULD be wide enough. Might actually try that soon before I plant the clover and don't give a rip if my yard gets some ruts in the front.

I purchased a snowblower attachment for mine last winter, and I sold it in the spring. Never installed it on my tractor.

I need to get my 82 up and running, get tire chains, new tires, and fix a leak on my western plow.

All this talk of lawn mowing... I may have to do the second mow of the year sometime soon. I know I need to mow the driveway.

I have about a half acre of lawn and have an old Craftsman 46" Franken-mower. The deck is about beat, so it's been welded together once and I am using plexiglass instead of a broken chute. It blew the engine before I got it so it has a Briggs Vanguard on it now. I replaced the transmission fluid once because it was having a hard time on hills and it helped but I think it's starting to act up again. Between the transmission and the rotting deck, it's probably only got a year left if I'm lucky.

It'd be nice to find an older high-end John Deere or something that's in good shape but has a bad engine, then I could move the good Vanguard to it. That engine runs great and I bet it will last forever as long as I take care of it. For all my hills, I'd really love a locking differential. I think it would make things so much easier.

My VT house has an older (non-catalytic version of the model linked here) soapstone wood stove from these guys in NH: https://www.woodstove.com/index.php/fireview. The fireplace here sounds similar to what you're talking about at your place. The stove loads from the right side or the top, the glass front is fixed. Hearth size will be the limiting factor in a free-standing stove installation. If I remember correctly, fire code says you need minimum 18" between the door and any combustible surface, but don't take my word for that, check the code if doing it yourself, or contract it out to a licensed and certified installer. Your fire dept may want to inspect the install once complete as well, and you'll definitely want to let your homeowner's insurance know that you've installed a stove.

I'm getting ready for leaf season-going to pick up a cordless EGO blower for close to $300 tomorrow. FML, but it will make sweeping out the garage a breeze-in more ways than one.
