Thanks, we just buzzed out there for a couple minutes and took care of a couple things and then were right back inside.

Good afternoon folks. a bit late to join in but no time like the present.

Congrats @Tacoma Mike on a great weekend of racing. Hope you didn't get beat up too bad at work. I always hated going back after long weekends.

Be safe Mark (Tacomaroma) and try not to breathe in too much ash like Dave said.

Have a great day all and be safe.

That sky is what we dealt with yesterday from a fire near us - it exploded 6,000 acres Sunday night. It was hard to breath and the whole house still smells of smoke. The snow and rain last night knocked it down for now and has helped containment as with three other fires burning here.

    Stay safe

Good morning All, what a start to the day. I figure we got somewhere between 8 & 12" of the white stuff. A lot melted at the beginning due to warm ground conditions but the temp this morning was 22 at 0530. A few pics for you, high today will be in the mid 230's. mid 40's tomorrow then in the high 60's Friday going into the weekend.

First where the two Golden's were most of the day - under my desk in my office.

I also am new to the thread, I saw the 30,40,50 threads but never saw the over 60 thread. Old enough to remember Kennedy's funeral so I guess I'm, old enough.

This is my first Taco, 2018 OR ( the rare Inferno). 50K on it and pretty much stock, spend the salt months in Southern AZ.

Welcome to the porch. Grab a rocker and a cold one from the cooler. Oh, and the new folks have to fill the cooler. :D

Nice truck. I love Inferno. My second favorite color.

Oh it is WAY too early. Monday it was 78, Tuesday morning it was 31 and snowing, Tue afternoon it was in the low 20's and snowing hard. Very odd for this time of year. Silver Lining / Plus side - it has helped fight and contain the four major fires in our state.

California is inundated with smoke. Some mornings it looks like a light snow fall there is so much ash falling. This morning you could not see the sun. Looking up it looked like heavy clouds or fog but it was smoke. So far this year we set a new record with 2 plus million acres burned by wildfires and it’s not near over. Between the fires and Covid (and a few other things) this state is really hurting.
I only go out to walk the dog. Other than that we are pretty much house bound. All my projects and chores are on hold until the smoke clears. The pool is covered in ash. And we are 50 or 60 miles from the closest fire. At least the heat wave has abated. It’s down to the low 90’s.
So today I am going to spend the day reading the 500+ page owners manual on our new vehicle. The amenities and electronics on it overwhelm me. I’ll post about it later or tomorrow.
Happy Saturday all. Stay well and be safe.

Sure, I just touched the 2 year mark with this Tacoma. Finally got ride of the stock goodyear tires at 40K, put on same dimension-ed Cooper Discoverer ST Maxx, they are great.

These photos are from before the Coopers,

I was going to say I know exactly where that USA is located - drive by it often when we launch the hot air balloon from Nicholson. And, not too far from our house.

    The USA is pretty cool.

    Here's one from Gold,Pa.
Gold is pretty much the intersection of 49 and 449 in Northern Potter County.
Hunted around there for years, and that's about the only reason why i remembered it,lol.
Those trees have been there for years.

Good morning all, woke to another 2" of snow. Very odd weather, going to be in the high 40's here then up in the 70's over the weekend. It is that early slap in the face reminder of what is coming. Positive side for us - knocked down all the smoke, helped several of our fires get under better control, no more flies or moths, got some much needed moisture - Negatives - all personal as in inconvenience - so no real negatives.

    Have a great day

OMG, 60% chance of more snow today as it warms back up. To all of you on the western seaboard, prayers to all of you to stay safe and for better conditions to help fight your fires and for all those in harms way.

Stay as safe as you can - when they say go - go - having dealt with fires over the past 3 decades it is not like a hurricane where you think you can ride it out. As with the hurricanes increasing over the decades so has the fires - nothing to mess with.
