    This and that...
Yeah I went down the solar rabbit hole a while back in preparation for a camper I purchased for remote working. His videos were very helpful. Also kept me from hopping on a kickstarter. Im sure the Jackery will be sufficient for some, just nice to see how it operates at its peak. He pretty much trashes on all of them.

I ordered (2) 500 units but may be going a different route. Doesn’t look like they’ve shipped yet so hoping I can cancel. Does anyone have experience returning to Jackery?

Or if anyone would like one I would still pass it along at the $429 price I purchased for

I watched this guys videos while doing my research. If you listen carefully most of his video's are geared towards living off-grid. For the majority of us this is a tool to get us by for a short period of time. It is doubtful any of us are using this as a permanent solution of sustaining power. For the purpose of weekend getaways, camping trips and emergency power, these things will fill that hole for 48 - 72 hours just fine.

In addition keep in mind these guys that provide these videos also are making money/free equipment to review. Not saying they all do but most of these guys who have channels and have every unit possible are definitely getting free goodies for the videos and content they are providing.

These guys are also good if you are looking for some additional information.

Nice!!! My JP40 has been sitting in the garage for a week. I couldn't wait to tear it open for a trip, but it came after I loaded up the truck and I was sitting around waiting for UPS to show up...so I didn't end up taking it (but didn't want it sitting on my porch for a weekend). I will probably unbox it tomorrow.

FIRST TIP/ADVICE - Stand the charging adapter up when you are charging! As stated on the adapter HOT when charging!

I stood it up halfway and it cooled down dramatically!

I noticed that the front of the unit has a different "logo" than the one in the video where the guy kind of bashes it. Yours says "Jackery Explorer 1000" whereas the one in the video posted earlier said "Power Outdoors." I wonder if any improvements have been made to the unit since that guy did his review. Probably just a logo changeup, but still makes me wonder.

Can't wait to hear your thoughts when you get back.

I'd be interested in taking one of those from you. I get paid next week on the 15th so can we do that then?

    Yes
    The quick and dirty!!

Received my Jackery 500 Wednesday morning at 32% battery. Took somewhere between 4-6 hours to get it to 100%.

At 10Pm Wednesday, I plugged my Costco Massimo 30qt fridge into it set to 25 degrees F with 80 deg ambient temps. Opened the cooler a few times as well. It is now 9AM on Friday and the Jackery is at 1% battery.

35 hours powering a cheaper (and likely less efficient) fridge on a single charge. Pretty impressed!!

I received a surprise promo code this morning from the Jackery rep. Though we have not reached the minimum 20 participants, we have a discount code that activates the Group Buy pricing on the SolarSaga 100W panel. The code is valid until 9/13 (though I was not given a time).

We are currently live with Group Buy pricing on the SolarSaga 100W panel until 9/13.

Given that the weekend is upon us, a PM with your email address is the fastest way for me to respond. Otherwise, just send me a PM and I'll get back to you ASAP.

Just so people know - Jackery does not reccomend draining the battery below 15%. I'm sure it'll be fine if you do every now and again, it's just not what they reccomend.

I just ordered mine. $289.99 + tax. Thanks for setting this up. It was perfect timing. I was getting ready to order one off Amazon for an upcoming trip. I'll take $10 savings anyday. I'll report back on the performance. Thanks again.
