Let's say, hypothetically (with no one telling my fiancee), that i had $1,000 to lift my 2020 TRD OR. Would that be enough for a solid lift? Or should i just do a leveling kit? Ultimately i want to run 33s on this sweet bby

Honestly, no, $1,000 would not be enough. Especially if you wanted to go for a 3 inch lift. You can run 33s on stock if you go tall and skinny. 255/80R17 I believe. Search around the forum a bit and you will find a lot of good information on lifting the truck.

Gotcha, yeah, i've been lurking around but i only asked because i've seen some videos on YT with people running sub $1k Rough Country lifts but it didnt leave me a warm fuzzy. Would 3K be a little more realistic?

Yes, 3K would be much more realistic.
@Aggromuffin These are very important questions and points to consider.
I mean, yes, that works too. Is that considered a solid lift as per OP?

Don't know, I just never thought about it that way. If OP is okay with it, then hey, that'll work.
EDIT: Also, do they make 3" spacer lifts?

    1. 4WD. So 2 inch lift it is then haha
    2. I think maybe 3k? Budget can obviously increase if i save for longer. I like to do my work myself so i don't foresee taking it for anything other than mounting and balance.
    3. Looking for offroad performance. Not a rock crawler just looking to hit trails (Lots of mountains and national parks in SoCal) but ultimately this is still my daily driver so im not risking it either
    4. As far as hauling i would ultimately love to have a rooftop tent and accompanying overlanding gear. Full armor as well.
    5. Tow. Maybe a couple of years down the line we would like to get some ATVs so i would imagine i'd get a small trailer to tow both with.
    6. Totally understand, i've been making my vehicles creak and pop out of stupidity for years lol

In this case, @JaCado and @coopcooper have got it all figured out for you. Ignore my nonsense and my non-lifted truck.

Honestly, i would love to build something the first time that will support all of the things that I'm looking to do in the future. As far as ride, this is my first truck after owning like 4 different roadsters. I think i'd like a more plated on-road feel with offroad performance. I stumbled across some ICON kits that seem to fit the bill. Am i barking up the right tree now?

You can do a solid lift for 2 grand, look at bilstein 6112 coilovers, 5160 resi shocks rear, progressive AAL, 3 leaf, JBA uca's about 1,800 bucks, maybe a couple hundred more for extended bump stops, carrier bearing drop, alignment, so let's say 2,100-2,200 bucks
