Hey y’all! I’m new here. I went to get in my vehicle this morning and truck won’t start. It’s cranking just not starting. Battery is good. Noticed a new a/t temp light on but everything else was fine. Any advice?

It's probably not getting fuel somehow. Fuel pump may have gone out

So I have read that the a/t temp does stop the vehicle from starting. I do have a code reader that I’ll use when Get off work. I’m also going to try to disconnect the battery for 30 min.

Kind of odd if it was fine before

When do you get off work? I'd love to hear what the code reader says

Try holding the throttle open slightly while cranking.

I get off around 2:30. I also tried holding the throttle. Tried a different key, because I did have a new key made recently.

Do this and try swapping your fuel pump relay with another relay in the box.. there’s usually a few that will interchange

You need Fuel, Air, Spark and Compression.
I’m going to make a reasonable assumption that you have Air, and Compression.

    I’d check Fuel and Spark.
The quick and easy way to check this would be a can of starting fluid.
Couple of puff in the intake and you’ll get an idea where to start.
However, this is NOT the best way to check for spark. And if done incorrectly could cause further issues.

Ok no code popped up. Fuel filter is working. Got air. Got compression. Must be spark.

    Fuel Filter or Pump?
And how did you confirm it was working?
A pump noise is not a good indication that it’s working.

No I pulled the fuel line and tried it. Shoot about ten feet on the driveway

That should be sufficient enough to rule out the pump.
But doesn’t mean fuel is being sent into the cylinders by the injectors.
Next step would be pulling a plug and checking.
