In Harrisonburg there was a hole in the wall diner called Jess’s. hot dogs piled in the window by the flattop and his greekstyle home chili was a legend. we called them gut granades. his grandson opened a diner just a few minutes from the house. got grandpas chili recipe.the grease soaks into the bun and you better have some Tums a regular is mustard,onions,and chili i just got 4.

 

What a good day. Morning was down around 75, afternoon up low-mid 90's and no humidity to speak of. First thing this morning I opened the shop doors to let the trapped heat out, everything cooled down...didn't get shit done but it was good day.
