Nice! take pics when you install.
I was thinking bout the rubber because it’s easier to clean and all that. But someone was saying it could be more easier to hold moisture and all of that so i’m kind of on the fence. And it’s just so expensive.

Well see it not an uncommon floor setup in other vehicles and for $400 for a new floor its not bad. Similar to the carpet if not cheaper. they list it at 6-700 but you can find it for less. Now im looking into finishing the sound deadening since ill have it all out

Yeah. I really think i may go with the carpet from stock interiors as $400 is kind of out of my budget to spend on the carpet. I just requested a few samples. more than likely getting black but wanted to see the charcoal and ebony
i also am curious how the texture is

came across this thread of a review as well

makes sense. part of it was its harder to get now and overall for how i use it an all weather floor would be idea. I really wanted it when i first got the truck but wasn't available. Def been pondering this purchase for awhile.

is this the part number ya used? i do like that it’s all cut out. I’m wondering if it would give any more road noise than factory??

i can check and see. It was a factory option but you had to order it if you were custom ordering which is why you do not see it as much. I assume they have stuff in there to help with that. When I pull it I plan to toss down some sound deadening so it will be a mute point and should be quieter overall. The Noico stuff is cheap enough for a decent job. $150 for 80 mill with some 150 mil pad on top.

I have longer goals to make all the interior black. Looking into some quality interior paints. this may be a good time to do some since it will all be ripped out. thats way more of a headache so have been putting it off.

Nice, yeah i looked a while ago for that part number and finally found a few threads on here.
I will wait and see how the samples i get from stock interiors are i am curious to the physical material of the carpet and the quality of it.

I was at the dealer today to check on the part numbers for the carpet (had to pick up a part that was on backorder).
He said with those two VIN's, the color is "dark gray" and there isn't an option for a darker color (like mine) available.
It probably has to do with the year the trucks are made.
He said the only way to get one is to find a truck with the same options (ext. cab, dual cab, manual or automatic floor shift as your truck) and color carpet and get the VIN from that truck.
I'm not sure if a 2.5 gen carpet will fit in a 2nd gen truck.
It should, there should be too many differences (maybe where wiring passes through the carpet).

the vins i provided is the ones with that carpet as i looked at the pictures of the listings on cargurus. They don’t call the color black i believe.
But those vins were with the black carpet like you have. Idk

The parts guy showed me a picture of the carpet on his computer of the part numbers he found and it showed what looked like a light grey carpet.
The only other picture he saw was possibly for a rubber mat.
    What year are those VIN's?
