Ok. Well here is an early early review after driving 250 miles over the weekend

I’m really happy with the way my truck doesn’t dive anymore while hitting the brakes.
It’s a smoother ride over bumps
And it’s a nice ride heights.

Something That is bothering me is I have a vibe I didn’t have before and I did the clamshell change at the same time so I’m gonna give it some more time before I say something... it’s not bad at all but I notice it after the install.

I haven’t taken it off road yet so no insight on that yet. So far pretty pleased.

Im pretty much in agreement with everything you said. My difference is I don’t have any vibe, at least that I know of. Well, besides the rubble strip feeling I have during braking that’s been there since day one after if driven for a bit. It has gone down some but I still feel it.
What are you doing when you get a vibe? Did you measure your axle before and after lift? I didn’t put in the bearing drop that came with the kit.

Did you add oil to your front diff after you did the bushing? I got around to it yesterday and put about 3/8 of oil in there.

Looks good. Like the bumper too. Definitely gives more room.

I get vibes while driving. They have mellowed out since the first day but I still notice them. I had them install the drops and I didn’t do the work so maybe I’ll check the fluid tomorrow

Lol, I was not sure if it was constant or accelerating, etc. maybe you could narrow it down that way. If it is constant probably drive shaft. Maybe check the angles and see about adding a washer and driving around again.

So with that caster, is the assembly sitting further forward?

By looking at the UCA angle, you got like a 3.5" lift at least.......how much was it setup to??

I have a slight vibe between 15-25 if I take off I don’t feel it but slow rolling I do and it comes back at the same place at decel. I installed their carrier spacing kit. I tried nothing heavy vibes, their kit and another washer heavy vibe. So went back to their spacer to keep it rumbling at that spot. I’m not gonna mess around with rear diff tilts and front diff drops and all that I’m just going to order a Tom Woods one piece drive shaft and be done with the whole carrier spacing garbage. I did the clamshell too and after messing with spacing I know it’s driveline. I plan on doing long travel in a couple years after I put this kit through the wringer. I’ve seen a lot of people talk about how they chased those vibrations forever and then bought the one piece driveshaft and it all went away and they wish they did it sooner lol I hate dropping 600 on the driveshaft but I’ll blow through U joints regardless so it’s either now or when I’m stranded somewhere. Tom Wood seems to be pretty solid complaint. You order today they make it overnight and ship next day and it’s in your hand in 2-3 days that’s pretty amazing.

That’s a pretty good plan. Probably cheaper that way if you factor in how much it would cost you to try and find and fix the vib problem.

I have an appointment for tomorrow but the wife wants to go drive on the beach so I’m sitting at Firestone right now waiting for them to open see if I can get in right at 7. Probably not it’s like 10 till and no mechanics are here. Maybe they’ll let me do it myself on their rack Hahahaha I actually have the alignment specs from Ironman for my UCA

Well they got me in I’ll post my specs when I get it back, I’m always freaked out bringing my cars and trucks to any shop because I feel like they’re gonna mess something up so this is high stress for me :angrygirl::fingerscrossed: I was gonna do the alignment myself but I bit the bullet and doing the lifetime so I won’t have to worry about it ever. Does anyone know if the lifetime counts if I switch up lift kits later? There has to be small print on how many you can actually get lol

Well an update so far, the jam nut on one tie rod is well jammed. Apparently Firestone took all the torches from them years ago so they have to pull the tie rod out and try some other method. My toe is kicked out so looks like if they can’t get it then I’ll have to get new tie rods. Someone must have burnt down the shop with a torch. They’ll probably try and sell me tie rods next lolol

Ok, not that y’all care lol but they got the jam nut unjammed looks like they can get it aligned, I wasn’t quite ready to do a whole new tie rod setup because my mind tells me to just put in a new rack and pinion too lol so that’s a relief. Beach here I come. I’ll post alignment specs here shortly

I didn’t actually see anything in writing about it. I was told I could bring it in every 5K miles for a check and they would adjust if needed. I don’t think they’d actually expect anyone to do that though.

That’s no good. Either the building or someone’s car... I’m sure they will try and sell you one.Maybe they'll soak it and see if that helps. Good luck. I’m sure a day at the beach will be nice once you two can get there.

I’m sure I’ll be back in pretty rough on alignments. I wish I had known about this before because I’ve had multiple alignments on my Rav4 lol because I’m the definition of rough country lol

I don’t know what all these numbers mean lol but I reckon they got it. I gave them the IM specs to go off so maybe I’ll drive it a bit and take it to another Firestone to double check? Or do y’all think these numbers are good?

It more green then it was, I guess that’s good. As long as the tires clear everything and it feels good that’s all that matters. Just need to keep an eye or tire wear. Nice that you were able to get it done this morning.
