Only thing that looks salvageable is the front bumper. Glad you made it out ok. The fires in CA the last few years have been the worst I have ever seen. Air quality yesterday evening was over 400...like being inside the campfire.

The stock fog light harness on these trucks is set to turn off with the high beams and also only can be used when the lights are on. Now I have full control of them and can be turned on as long as the ignition is on. I bent one of the terminals on the relay and tapped into a line on the harness following this write up.

20200910_070423.jpg All exhaust modifications are complete. Both original catalytic converters have been removed and replaced with a single high flow catalytic converter. I got the results I expected. :)

I would be interested if the dealer just takes your word for the weatherstripping TSB, or if you have to prove it to them. I tried the DIY fix and it improved things, but I still hear the kazoo noise a bit.

Thankfully the dealership is an IT client of ours and shouldn’t put up too much fuss.

I just did it myself yesterday. Each side costs $58 and it's an easy install. To me it was worth it not having to deal with the dealer.

Easy install is good, but free install is better.

My truck has extended warranty and last year I tried to get Toyota to do this TSB. The TSB does all 4 doors. Toyota said that the TSB was only for 3 yr, 36K miles. I was turned down from Toyota. The noise comes from only the front doors. So I purchased it from a discount Toyota dealer and did it myself. I posted this here last year. It was one of the easiest jobs I’ve ever done. If your dealer does it for you, Toyota is not paying for it, but your dealership is picking up the tab. Good Luck. I hope they do it for you.

Had the day off so I did a wash and spray wax (Turtle Wax Ice) and prepped my windshield for new wipers (Toyota Sightline). I get 2 years out of a set of these wiper blades. Cleaned windshield with Stoners, Clay Bar, cleaned again and then Rain-X.

Nothing crazy, but managed to paint my ugly chrome grille in between classes and homework. Looks much better. Only my ugly chrome rear bumper left to paint now.

Quoting your post because liking it seems so wrong. I hope everyone is okay...that is what is most important. I am sorry that you are now having to go down this road. So many Of us out West are being impacted by these fires. Stay safe, care for those closest to you, and hopefully you can rebuild soon.

Taco Newbie here... I just replaced Front and Rear differentials as well as the transfer case with Amsoil Severe Gear, lubed my driveline. No leaks and all torque specs followed. I love these trucks!
